Up and head is throbbing but I am putting that aside for my HAWKS.
Got absolutely torn up last night and didn't get laid. Talked to Jake Waters for a good portion of the night; great guy down to earth and he said Bill Snyder aka Dollar Bill is a dick which surprised me. Anyway on to the HAWKS.
Here is my Pre-Game Franalysis
-Money Mike must have a bounce back performance to get his confidence back up
-Ad daddy needs to get another double double
-We need two 3's combined from the pain reliever and BE.
-Need to get easy buckets in transition
-Uboat will get his stroke back so I'm not worried about our superstar

Most cases I don't know who are talking about but a win is directly what we need. No losing skids. Need to take care of the next 3 heading into Indiana. I would expect JU will snap back. I don't feel real confident with NB right now. He brings great energy but his shot is not even close right now. I will be looking at him close and really hoping for the old NB. Get er done boys!

I couldn't wait around for the rest of you so I've started with espresso and brandy. I'll be ready to cheer.
Interesting match up because Northwestern is coming off of some humiliating losses and we are coming off a game where we could have won even though we played badly overall. Of course I pick the Hawks to win but maybe not by as big a margin as you'd normally think simply because Northwestern has got to have it in their heads that they won't be shamed again.

After JU's recent statement that he felt bad about his showing @MD, I would expect him to do well today. I don't think there's goIng to be a hangover effect from the loss.
Concerning NB, I'm beginning to think he's hit a freshman wall. Today's his chance to prove me wrong.
This is a very big game. I'm very glad it's at home. A road game in Evanston would've been a bad recipe for a letdown. I don't see that at Carver. Home crowd will offer plenty of positive energy. We need to go on a big time run after that difficult first 8 games. This is our conference race to win or lose now that we're done with Maryland, sparty and Purdue. Every game the rest of the way is a winnable game for the hawks. Go earn the conference title and a #1 seed in des Moines. It starts today! Uthoff scores 20+ and hawks win by 15, 78-63.

Yep a guy who has not hit a 3 in 5 games strokes his first and Iowa is playing solid D.
Dom Uhl has got to get reintroduced to the team concept or he can't play. Plain and simple. Young guys need to understand you pay within the system and within the offense. Uthoff is our best player and when he flashes to the post and is already in double digits, you give him the damn ball. Now we gotta get Jok back in the flow and playing within the system again.
