They both made the finals at Iowa (and were as close to a title as you could be and not get one) which was better than either did at their previous schools so I don't know that you can use that against Tom. While they weren't champs, both were damn close and finished highest while at Iowa so not really a failure in coaching.
Well, he said "Will be a good measuring stick to gauge Brands and staff's abilities to take guys that were close to the top and hopefully push them over the edge."

He didn't push anyone over the edge.

What I bolded above will never sit well with me and I won't ever get on board with it. What the Hawks are doing might be the best way to get back to the top with the landscape that's here, but it doesn't sit well with me. Loyalty matters, to me and I think this will hurt Iowa in the long run. Not sure how, but it's tough for me to watch bridges being burned.

I also think that the Brands are great people and this whole thing probably has them losing sleep and questioning their morals.
Loyalty matters to me as well, however as I interpreted trapper, the irrelevance of it is really hard to swallow. I guess wrestling follows the business world, you can’t let emotions be a part of the equation to reach the end goal.
I wish all the transfers the best and truly hope they prosper. It was exciting to watch them improve and contribute, albeit not at the level Iowa needed to compete for Championships. They are great individuals who have my respect and appreciation.
I can’t see Brands not letting them out of their scholarships and wishing them good luck to pursue their goals & dreams.
They can’t do much else, if Iowa Wrestling is to become relevant. It has to be gut wrenching for them and the pressures on them are immense.

It is really unfortunate what is happening to college sports. It’s just a free for all and has to bother a lot of coaches across all sports. There is not much loyalty on either side it appears and if you stick with loyalty, you will fall behind. It’s not what college athletics is supposed to be about.

Take away the last season injury on both, they well could have had a championship.

The injuries in question have NOTHING to do with “over training” or Tom using a cattle prod to get guys off bottom like some take so joy in parading.
Impossible to say. So many factors go into it besides possibly over training. But if you remove the blame of these injuries, Iowa has still had an alarming number over the years. I hope that trend stops, but I also won’t ignore it.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. How dare you even mentioned something like that!

Disney, with kids, is not for the faint of heart. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Or @acuhawk.

Hurry up and wait. Thankfully the temperatures weren't too bad and the wife (no pics) wanted to be more poolside than really kill it at the parks.
I went with my wife and her family shortly before her father passed away. Knowing he was on his way out he wanted to treat the entire family to it (they're all big Disney fans).

Though we never outwardly acknowledged it, we both knew we were absolutely miserable haha.

Why, why, why would you give this guy even one click much less post it here?

He's a sh1t-stirring hack!
I personally think it’s funny the level of hate he has, borderline embarrassing. He even has Jeff McGinness in the comments calling him out for being one sided.
