Sorry to clutter the board with more fishing talking , but headed up there this weekend as a last minute fill in for a guy who couldn't make it.. we have a guide for the fishing, but anybody got off-ice advice for the area?

I am going to Devils lake in March to Angling quest guide service ! My first time can’t wait
Devils Lake is a town of only about 7000 people. Proz End of the Line in Devils Lake is kind of cool, the same guy bought the Cove which is located next to Woodland Resort on Creel Bay. The Ranch in Devils Lake has pretty good food.
I have no information about that honey hole, But I’m extremely happy this is now a Wrestling and fishing board!

Proz Sports Bar and Grille. Good atmosphere, drinks and the Prime Rib sandwich. Never have had bad service or food. Good homemade cracker crust pizza.

Haven't been to Devils Lake in years, but just got back from Lake Preston in South Dakota and got a bunch of walleyes and 13"-15" perch.
LOL it’s ND but point taken. It does put it just outside the top ten for most populous cities in the state.
Damn. I don’t know how I forgot about the casino. I haven’t been there in a while but last time I was it was kind of a dump. I’m guessing the casinos on the res in Iowa are similar.
That’s where we went ice fishing 90% of the time. Awesome fishing but really cold!! Take an extra bottle even if you don’t drink.
When I was a kid my grandparents only TV station came out of Devils Lake. Take in the sites and sounds of a curling league. You might get some local intel. If you’re real nice you could land a free Grain Belt or Hamms.
