NW choked real hard, but ultimately held on.

Up 21 early in 2nd half, and needed a huge play by Buie to make the winning shot.

Finding a way to stop the collapse and not crack on the pressure of that situation, is almost more impressive. That doesn’t happen often. Sometimes the other team will choke after nearing a come back. Maybe it happened here a little with the missed alley oop

Intrigued to see Purdue only -1 at Maryland. Seems like a bit of a sucker bet on Purdue. If they happen to lose tonight, the Big Ten race starts to get interesting.

It took IU coaches almost 3/4 of the game to figure out giving the ball to Jackson-Davis nearer the FF line to allow him to work before the double team arrived. IU will be a dangerous team post season, because Thompson will be fully back and X Johnson might also be back. Not impressed with Woodson as a game coach.
Hope Fran takes some ideas away from this.

Attacking nws post double seems like a bad strategy, especially in their gym where they will get away with more.

Maybe get Rebraca the ball at the ff line facing the basket instead of low block, similar to the isu game.

Seems like IU finds a way to choke in the NCAA tournament.

Not like Iowa can talk....

Does it though? Nu isn't winning out.
Sure it does, if you lose tonight. Most consider a 1 game lead with a few weeks to go interesting. NW could very well win out (and they hold the tiebreaker). Indiana could win out. But if you win tonight, it's locked up. Big game for the Big Ten and Purdue's confidence.

Exactly, have to feed it in to the high post ... not on the block. Much tougher to double up there and easier to pass out to a shooter for 3 when they do double team. Need Kris, Payton and others hitting 3s though.

Big ten basketball shares, so Purdue is 2 wins and an nu loss from sharing. Tie breaker seeds BTT. I encourage you to look at schedules. Nu likely loses two more. Iu should lose 1 more. So even if Purdue loses two, I still think they win out right.

I was wondering about Collins grabbing a player too. Anyone? And who would have imagined that we would be in the situation we are in right now after that 0-3 start?

Didn't see the complete game, but officiating didn't seem awful in the 60-min replay. What exactly happened when Collins grabbed a player, and at what point in the game?
Purdue had a shot clock violation with 22 seconds on the shot clock that gave nu the ball. Gillis had a tentional on a hard foul where he touched the ball. Play that gave them the lead, illegal screen and audige went out of bounds and was first one to touch the ball. On a free throw, two guys reached across edey and hooked arms. Those where the glaring obvious ones imo. That shouldn't be missed.

Collins grabbing Loyer came on the last play for Purdue. Game was over score wise, but still unacceptable.

Maryland/Purdue is close at half. Maryland down at home despite whistles going entirely their way and Purdue going 0-fer from 3.
