choice " B" is not a good choice but seems to be the path that some of the PSU trolls would want us to believe is best for everyone. If they truly hate this program so badly... wouldnt it be nice if they stayed OFF this board and stayed in their own BWI trash bin????

I think a true PSU troll would choose B) as best, because they get some enjoyment out of bumping topics to keep them visible on Iowa's board. They might do so hoping recruits and their families might read real and fake Iowa fan responses. Or they might do so, simply to create agita for real Iowa fans.

If this is the suspected motive, then the best approach for true Iowa fans seems to be ignore without providing a response that bumps the topic again. Then more topics should eventually reduce visibility of the troll-like posts.

However, if the motive is truly to protect Iowa's reputation (PSU or Iowa fan, real or fake) then B would be a sincere and valid approach to those who presume silence is concurrence and implies tacit approval.

Well, let's see here if that's all I got? So far from what I've heard about this crowd is one guy is facing sexual assault charges because he jizzed on some woman's stomach, there was some reckless driving accident, and some dubious online gun handling stuff .

In trying to be clever you really showed a horrible understanding of the use of the f bomb, a total lack of respect for the sport of wrestling in disparaging Tom and Terry, and a bizarre opinion of Bob who has done a lot of good will for the Iowa program.
To sum it all up, you are not an Iowa fan and just bad at being a troll.
Sports fans are just that, fans. A sports fan who has never played the sport can at times show extreme ignorance if they are not careful. Most PSU fans who post on this board wear both of those well, therefore I have no doubt you are just a horrible troll. To disagree with Tom, Terry or Bob is one thing, but to personalize it as though you have a thorough investment in wrestling and/or the Iowa program with the statements you make are classless.

I don’t agree with your premises in the first two paragraphs. There are enough trolls here to keep the threads moving along and staying towards the top.

I don't understand. It seems you agree that B is the choice of most trolls, but you disagree that ignoring or not posting replies would be an effective deterrent. That may be true, but it's hard to tell given the number of replies.

I was going to say having some reasonable effective moderation that might combine like threads, lock them after something has run its course, or delete them when they've degraded below some established standard might help. But I didn't, for what I consider are obvious reasons.

I've caught a lot of shit over the years from PSU fans by stating they covered up for Sandusky by ignoring it. I base my opinion from a friend who was on the case fwiw .

People don't want to admit their guys, their heroes, their families maybe have made mistakes or did wrong.

No, but he was serving a suspension at his current school and it wasn’t going to be lifted because he was still a train wreck. But Cael plucked him and put him into the lineup.

Long did not have “drinking issues”. He was an out of control alcoholic who needed help desperately. ISU was trying to get him help with rehab when Cael took a risk on Long’s health and well being by taking away from rehab and putting him on the mat so that Cael could win the NCAA’s. Cael won and Long ended up in prison. You tell me who the winner was and who was the loser?

That’s an interesting angle I truly hadn’t considered. If the atmosphere at PSU can turn a fine young man with some drinking issues into a sexual predator maybe the atmosphere at Iowa can turn the Ferraris into fine God fearing young men. Thanks for the positive outlook!
