Mostly just bad for UZBIs this good for us?
On paper yes, the 2 seed and overall more accomplished wrestler just got beat, albeit most of his best results were at 61kg. I like the matchup more with abdulaev especially after a break. Is this good for us?
Brooks is like a block of granite. Seems to have a strength advantage almost every time out.
Right. They look like old Amish men with young bodiesWhat's with the Leprechaun look from all the Eastern Europeans?
Hard to imagine that he wrestling 184 and held it for an entire season just 18ish months agoHe’s a giant 86
The other guy got a takedown. Those are worth 2 points.
Uzbek wrestles for Menlo College and was an NAIA champ last year. Gilman teched him in the Repechage in 2021, but he does look much improved.Harutyunyan was the 2 seed so on paper yes, but this guy looks really good.
It's not hard to really hold your weight at that age. Well , it's not easy but with the level of activity these guys have it's doable.Hard to imagine that he wrestling 184 and held it for an entire season just 18ish months ago
Or they can be worth 4 or 5 points. This isn’t Folkstyle. The other guy got a takedown. Those are worth 2 points.
It helps when you don't have to make weight on a weekly basis and can consume sufficient calories to build muscle. It's not hard to really hold your weight at that age. Well , it's not easy but with the level of activity these guys have it's doable.
But then when you can go up? It's awesome . He's maybe 23now, almost all the wrestlers and lifters I knew from high school to college and later went up multiple classes . You just get bigger naturally even if you're lean.
Is his middle name really Guillermo? 🤔you’re going to have to translate for him
During our down time this morning maybe someone can explain how they fill in the repechage brackets.
To be fair he was wrestling the #1 seed in the first match.brooks looking much better this match. his defense is his offense

I understand the general principle, but I can’t figure out the brackets special. After the semis...the losers to the finalists wrestle back for bronze. For example, Zhou will get a shot to wrestle the guy SL just beat and then wrestle the guy he hopefully beats in the semis for bronze.

Let’s say Lee and Higuchi win. That means Cruz would wrestle Sarlak in 216, and Uulu would wrestle Zou in 217? Then the winner of 216 would wrestle for Bronze against Abdulleav, while the winner of 217 would wrestle Aman? Then two bronze medals?
And world's last year!Yup...two bronze medals. The only time that doesn't apply was in the UWW Last Chance. Zhou had to wrestle the other "bronze" for true third because only the top 3 get slots.
Worlds last year was true 5th, so there were still 2 bronze medalistsAnd world's last year!

Yes. And I think the NBC Sports App and NBCsports.com if you have a cable or streaming tv provider. Will Spencer's next match be on Peacock?
Need to plan accordingly here at work.
Zou did not look as big, as strong, or as explosive as last time. In fact, he didn't appear too confident.
Or a jointSpooner needs some coffee.
Obviously you can only blame yourself for not making weight. But I still hurt for her.
