Both MM and Kerk were at their previous schools for fall semester only. MM competed in 3-team dual and had two matches. Greg competed unattached 8 times. Both left the schools before 2nd semester of their freshmen years.Did Messenbrink or Kerk actually wrestle for another school? or did they transfer before wrestling for another school? You're just so...........deepI don't think that's ever been the rhetoric in the larger wrestling community. Michigan started it with Suriano & Brucki, and then bought half their starting lineup last year. If you're letting Mineo get you triggered, that's on you.
The portal itself isn't even the big deal, it's portaling one year rental grad transfers. To me, there's a big difference between bringing in a Parco or Buchanan for just this year and bringing in Caliendo with three years of eligibility left. The former is just a band-aid that you need to keep reapplying every year. The latter is someone you can build around for a longer time more like a recruit.
Thank you, Band-Aid Boy.You're just so...........deep
Please list out the wins that you see.Without the NIL transfers, Iowa scores the same amount of points as Michigan st.
Wins? It's hard to say in a dual like this imo. Please list out the wins that you see.
so they are transfers.... thats strangeBoth MM and Kerk were at their previous schools for fall semester only. MM competed in 3-team dual and had two matches. Greg competed unattached 8 times. Both left the schools before 2nd semester of their freshmen years.
Yes they are, with four years of eligibility when they transferred in it seems . I don't think summer getting it, the thing about transfers is a dig at the Iowa coaches for not being able to develop wrestlers or land better wrestlers. And then attempting to patch up the lineup. Nothing more.so they are transfers.... thats strange
Nobody develops like Karl that's for sure, Their wrestlers get so strong while at PSU.Yes they are, with four years of eligibility when they transferred in it seems . Yeah, you would think that somehow if Penn State was doing something crazy like that someone might find out about it? Or maybe he's just recruiting better wrestlers overall in developing them. Check out the recruiting rankings? Then check out the results in the finals. Then compare that to everyone else. Then tossing the most favorable geographic location for wrestling in the entire country.Nobody develops like Karl that's for sure, Their wrestlers get so strong while at PSU.
Maybe Iowa needs to hire a team Dr. that will diagnose all the wrestlers with ADHD so they can all be on high doses of Ritalin during their matches... I have heard that works at other schools.
Agreed, this is just a message board dig to get underneath people's skin. Your way of looking at it makes sense,Transfers are transfers. Trying to have some moral high ground based on how much eligibility they have is incredibly stupid. The coaches’ job is to construct the best roster they can, however they can.
Maybe we are aware of all this? Why come here and repeatedly tell us how good your team is? Gets old fastYeah, you would think that somehow if Penn State was doing something crazy like that someone might find out about it? Somehow he's doing better and I think it's because he's a better coach working with better material, in a better area for wrestling , nothing more than that.
I agree.... Give us a break and give the trolls a kick in the A$$ off of the boardMaybe we are aware of all this? Why come here and repeatedly tell us how good your team is? Gets old fast
