Penn State week

I can see Iowa winning 125, 133, 149, 157, and 165. Would love to add 141, but ain't seeing it out of him this year for whatever the reason is.

Hopefully they work on defending the gramby which seems to be Iowa's weakness the last few years.

125-psu is now favorite but I'm gonna go with Drake. 3-0
133-No 3-3
141-If you believe the flu thing then we give Woods the benefit of the doubt. 6-3
149-No confidence in Rathjen. 6-6
157-Franek loses a close one. 6-9
165-I believe in Caliendo but Messenbrink is a stud. Close one, lots of scrambling. 9-9
174-No 9-13
184-No 9-17
197-Domination 9-22
HWT-Domination 9-28

I hate predictions, and I sure wish that I you were wrong with yours, but I don't think that you are.
I admit that our recent performance at Michigan doesn't inspire much confidence.

What I would like to see:
1. Ayala and Woods rebound fully, and wrestle up to their talent level.
2. Schriever or Teske step up for this one.
3. Franek to crank up the action.
4. Calliendo wrestle to seed against a very dangerous kid.
5. Rathjen, Riggens, Kennedy, Glazier, and Hill challenge some really good opponents.

I’d really like to see whoever we have at 133 not choose down when given the choice.
Don't think it will matter who we put in here (none of our options have impressed), but I might be tempted to throw Kale Peterson in for another go here and tell him to just let 'er fly and, dare I say, just have f*n.

125- Coin flip, Drake needs to win. His slide by won't work so we better have another gameplan.
133- Nago is a big favorite. Whoever goes for Iowa has zero chance if we choose down.
141- I'm going with Bartlett until last year's version of RW shows up.
149- Kasak with the edge, but this is winnable for CR.
157- Haines in OT 4-1 is my gut on this.
165- I think Messy wins by a takedown or possibly 2. He is the very real deal.
174- I think Starboy wins, but by less than Griffith did Friday.
184- Riggins keeps it to a decision, but loses.
197- Brooks wins, but Glazier holds his own.
285- Hill loses by major.

I'm hoping I jinx PSU by being pessimistic, but if last Friday nights team shows up it will get very ugly for Iowa. That is why you wrestle the meets though.

couldn’t agree more. Anything can happen. Regardless of what happens, the fans win!!

Ahhhh

If only Drake, Real and Cali win, it will be considered a good night for me. Any others win is icing on the cake but want to see every one of them go after it aggressively.
I would add Franek to that list. He’s tough to take down and Haines has been in a lot of close matches.

What is Iowa's worst defeat in its history? What is the worst curb-stomping the hawks have ever received?

1965-1966 Season looks like it was pretty bad, lost to Michigan 0-32, Minnesota 0-32, Oklahoma 0-39 (that might be the worst loss) Imagine the message boards back then

By the time you wrote your message it was two years later.
