Nick Jackson says a meal at Pullman Bar & Diner leading up to the bowl game was the early stages of the mass return of key Iowa players. Several of those with crucial stay/go decisions attended and spoke openly about how they were feeling.
“Just to realize in the moments like that, OK, there’s a possibility that we only have a week left with each other. And when you think about it like that, then you’re like, dang. But we could have another year together. I think a lot of guys felt that.”
