Yes, I do think they enjoy piss pounding the Sooners. Makes up for all the piss poundings the other way in football.
It’s a regional rivalry. It has not been a competitive rivalry. But everyone in the state that cares about wrestling watches that meet. That means it matters more than say, Iowa vs Purdue or Iowas st vs any other big 12 team minus Uni. It means something to the wrestlers, and it means something to the state. It’s a rivalry.
I can't even get any friends that are Clone fans to bet on the dual anymore without them asking for points.
Cards (I am Cards fan) vs Cubs is pretty much even in terms of W/L. Now, pennant and World Series wins is another matter.
Yep that what I was referring to. Cards have the edge in championships and games that matter. I’m a Cards fan too Chief. Really hoping Nolan resigns, I think it would be a surprise if he didn’t.
But those games are not against the Cubs. What do games against another team have to do with Cubs Cardinals rivalry.
If Iowa has 11 national championships and Iowa state has three do you not think an Iowa fan would use that fact to give shit to an Iowa St fan, their geographical rival? That’s why those games matter. Imo.

I’m a HUGE Cubs fan but yes it absolutely is one sided.
Apparently they are, in the same way that great white sharks and seals are rivals.
Tell me who leads in the all time series. If you’re saying the Cards are the most successful I agree but they are actually losing the all time series to the Cubs.

It's really hard to say it's not a one-sided rivalry when one team has 11 World Titles in the same time period the other has 1. Division titles are 15-8.
Again, big Cubs fan here. But always remember when Theo took over he said (paraphrased) "We aren't trying to be the Red Sox, we're trying to be the Cardinals."

I suspect where the dual starts and what the score is at the time will determine if Lee goes.
Typically, Brands wrestles a few backups against the Clones, so the scores don't always show the big gap in the two programs. It's kind of like dangling a carrot in front of Dresser...give him hope and then yank the carpet.

I certainly like Schriever, but I'm going with Teske winning the spot this year. Either way, no Desanto.
Me, too. I just am not sure Schriever stays healthy for an entire season.
