Watch it again. I totally agree that RBY stalled his ass off until he scored easily. Probably his plan. Desanto took 7-8 great shots and then sat on his knees. He never once tried to finish. Not once! He has total mental block against RBY. Not junk talk at all Mepo! Go Hawks! But facts are facts.

It's not fear. DeSanto isn't always confident is his technique. You can see him looking to the coaches sometimes to try to figure out how to finish.
Side note I don't understand why they tried to ride in the 3rd. What's the point? DeSanto isn't likely to turn or pick up riding point. It's just an opportunity cost. In a close match you can choose to wrestle in your strongest position.
Ironside pointed out there have been no first-period takedowns by either team.

Quick observations of no worth:
1. Ybarra looks 13 years old.
2. Ayala - Hildebrandt would have been a great match. I think Ayala takes him in neutral and could win if Drake avoids getting trapped underneath.
3. Murin is a guy to go to war with.
4. If I made love to my wife the way Kaleb wrestles, she'd have divorced me ages ago.
5. Don't kill me -- I think Angel has done a decent job refereeing thus far.
