no i just live in reality. most of the guys you just listed would not score points at ncaa's. kennedy and nelson are good depth. we don't know yet what we have at 184. psu has some good back ups too. they have a returning aa on the bench in beard and a top 20 heavyweight with nevills. we don't know how close facundo or svn are to being contributors. their current 165 isn't a big name, but he hasn't lost in 2 years and just beat a ranked guy (who has a win over returning finalist wentzel). he's not a scrub. the 157 they started today was a waved off takedown at the buzzer away from beating a top 10 guy today. bartlett lost today, but has 3 ranked wins on the year including against a guy who majored our current starter at 149 since our real one is apparently injured and hasn't taken the mat.You sound like a none Iowa fan today. Let’s go there. Iowa has yabarra at 25 to back up lee. Scheiver at 33. Henson at 41. At 65 Kennedy. At 74 Nelson behind kem. At 84 we have Assad Nelson and Wilson. At 97 glazier. Match it up!! What does psu have to back their studs? What are we 5?
right now, iowa is the better team, but don't overreact to a bad weekend for psu when they had multiple national champions out of the lineup due to the flu. we have a 10 year track record of them raising their level in march, including last year. everybody buried them after big tens and they ended up giving us a minor scare and ended our tournament with a very sour taste on saturday night. they're always tough to beat and will be tough to beat again. before i even think about burying them, i'd like to see our own lineup on the mat fully healthy. something about counting your chickens....
