Well an Iowa guy just won a title at 133, after going through the toughest path in the tourney to include beating NATO, with essentially one arm. Maybe you can start there.

Iowa has gone R12, R12, 5, 4, 3, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1 over the last 8 years at 125/133. The HWC has had the past 3 world/olympic team members at 57kg. No other program has come close to that level

McDonough, Slaton, Dennis, Ramos, Gilman, Clark. And Terry once mentored a kid named Cejudo.

Interesting to note is in their last year McDonough, Dennis, and Gilman all placed behind a MN wrestler at nationals. But I do agree that Iowa is probably the best place for lightweights to go. Bunch of scrappers on their club team too.
