According to Instagram, Marcus Blaze is announcing next week. Said it was between OSU, Okie St, PSU and Purdue, with OSU being in the drivers seat. No mention of Iowa!!??
Not surprised. Wonder how long we stayed on the list. We are the only one he cut before his final decision. Him Lockett and Deluca took an official with us last fall. Guess we were lucky to get Deluca, the lowest rated of them. Lockett only came to squeeze more money/ perks out of OSU. Same things going to happen with Forrest this year, just praying Bo will break this trend. He will be too good for Ohio state to ruin, like Mendez.
Mendez just won a national title so I’m not sure what you are talking about. It’s been said Blaze wanted to stay close to home. Iowa is a 7 hour drive. That’s not close. He also visited Cornell and removed them from the list.
There was a slim to no chance we got Lockett, hes grown up in Stillwater. Blaze wants to be close to home he’s a 2 hour drive from tOSU, an hour drive from UMich, and a 5 hour drive from PSU. Cornell and Iowa are both the same distance from his home town at 7 hours. Iowa was a long shot for him the whole time. I also dont get discrediting Deluca because he’s “the lowest rated”, he’s top 10 PFP in the class.
Deluca will be nails. So glad he'll be a Hawk.
So is "Instagram" some random dude or Blaze himself? Blaze seems like the kind of guy that holds his cards close to his vest.
Read it again. I said Mendez was too good for tOSU to ruin. Blaze is the same way. They will be national champions at almost any program, even Cal state Bakersfield 😅😅
Wasn’t discrediting him, just telling the truth. He’s a high recruit, but still the lowest of the big three visiting. Lucky we got him, especially being an east coast kid. Since Blaze is a no go, that class would have been a huge bust if we didn’t land him. We have had one top ten per class for 3 years, but need more than that in 2026 class and beyond to catch PSU. Don’t like needing many 1 year rentals every year to compete. Plus that’s a hard way to build team comrodery.
I dont understand why anyone would want to play that foosball anyway, foosball is the devil.

I don’t blame Cael - he comes from the “always be closing” school of sales it seems. It’s the reason I’d be a terrible salesman - think Tommy Boy during his initial sales meetings on the road with Richard
Spencer has plenty of similar stories with Carl I’m sure.
With the portal letting kids move around as much as they want without losing a year of eligibility, and NIL money, the recruiting game has changed immensely.
Even to the point where Spencer had already been at Iowa for years.
Gee, thought he’d be too busy with American Idol, a radio show, and a talk show to excel at high school wrestling.😉
