Fake news. Someone super imposed that. If you go to the post on Pin Doctor's Facebook page it isn't there. If you go to the Bassett's club X page it also isn't there. Someone just trying to rattle the Hawk's fan base. He has Iowa in his Top 15 and has a scheduled visit, so it is highly unlikely the family truly feels this way. Bo's Mom did post on the Pin Doctor's thread to explain why they started Bo in school when they did. Also, just because Pin Doctor's is Iowa based it's also web based so comments come from across the globe. My guess is the Bassett's realize that as well. The best thing we can do is treat that post exactly like it is trash & move on.

We all have to be smart enough to know anyone can post anything on the internet, and if you don't think some programs/fans are trying to make others look bad, you are foolish. There are absolutely "moles" who just post to make a team look bad - recruits, parents, etc. have to see through this via personal connections, etc.

Thanks for pointing this out. Without thinking I took it at face value. Then thought the original Tweet might've been deleted and the poster here might've taken a screenshot in anticipation of its deletion.
I did find it odd that none of the erstwhile offending comments were included in the post here.
This kind of purposeful disinformation would seem banworthy to me. Then again, it might just be a lighthearted joke from someone whose credibility has already been declared 'shot.'

But he still has his visit to Iowa. Dad was just super heated.
I honestly don't know where the super imposed post originated from. My guess is it wasn't web based. Someone did it and started emailing, texting it around and people pulled it from there and put it different spots on the web. I first saw it on a Discord page where the moderator (big ISU fan of course) received it, but didn't state from who, or how and posted it to the Discord page. Then I started nosing around to see how legitimate it was. Common sense told me the rationale of the message made no sense at all unless your agenda is to dismiss the Hawks and/or discredit the Hawks to the Bassett's.
Please explain how you "proved"/confirmed this?

If you are making school decisions based on what supposed fans of a school are saying on the internet (I have no idea what was even said) then you need to seriously rethink your social media presence. Anybody can post anything under any username and remain anonymous. I find it hard to believe Bo and his family haven't figured this out by now. The world is full of morans and they cheer for lots of different sports teams.
The comments were pretty harsh about his age, redshirting, cutting weight, yada, yada, yada. Both Mom and Dad commented. Their comments have been deleted.
Thankfully, he's not. But as parents go, we can get pretty emotional about our kids. Dad and Mom were heated.
Yeah, turns out it's not the coaches nor is it even Slumlord Millionaire, it's actually you people, the cesspool. LOL.
What comments from Iowa folks is Bo's dad talking about? What was said that was so insanely jealous?

Most of the comments are still up on the Pin Doctor post. Guess they don't like tough holdbacks in Iowa.
Surprising. You spoke direct to the Dad. Interesting. Surprising that he deleted his posts and his wife's stayed. At least much past his being gone as I haven't looked since.
Did he realize that he posted from PA on the thread, so maybe others also posted from outside of Iowa?
Also, the most surprising is that he's not used to the criticism yet.

No way. Much like spencer - when Bo gets here on campus, everyone is going to know who he is and tell him how excited they are for him to possibly be a Hawk.
Other than Kem, I don't think there's ever been a recruit that hasn't thoroughly enjoyed their visit and seen just how important wrestling is to the University of Iowa and its fans.
Besides, just tell dude those were all ISU fans.
I don't quite get the middle statement. I don't think it's earth shattering that anyone that commits to Iowa enjoyed their visit. There are obviously many that did not as they visited and committed somewhere else.
Regardless. I agree that Bo will have a great experience and if his Dad is leary his experience will change that.

Not sure if that comment is real but it took me 1 minute of research to scroll over the first 10 hater comments in that post and all were from PA or Ohio.

Again, this just confirms the same idea - anyone can post anything and unfortunately, that chit sticks! False information still gets in people's heads and minds and gives a bad look (ever wonder why BWI bans just about anyone who isn't painting their guys as saints?!). And if you think you can't fake your location as well, you know little about the internet. I can spoof my location to just about anywhere in the world, and if you can use an internet browser, you can, too, with minimal Googling.
