Well I am going to ass-u-me that the comments and reactions are genuine…Facebook being what it is. I am guessing the Bassetts get shit in PA as well from jealous parents or even people who genuinely disagree with how they do things. Wrestling fan sites run the gamut; sites like Pin Doctors are “non denominational.” Some may be Clone, Hawk, outside the state teams etc. Plus there are those who could give a rip about college wrestling because their kid is at the center of their wrestling world.
A couple of days ago Iowa released a tunnel hype video on Facebook. Here come 3-4 PSU fans going on about how our wrestlers suck, little bro etc…They actually have to like Iowa’s page to comment. That is not big bro energy.
So there are all types on the internets Bassett fam and I’m fairly surprised that they are not immune to the haters being in the spotlight and all.

I am not commenting on the post or comments, but I am interested in the statement “Other than Kem…”. What is the background to this? Did he not enjoy his original recruiting trip but still signed anyway? Just interested in the background.

does it make sense to have everyone visit at the same time? doesn't;t it become more difficult for the coaches to give each prospect the appropriate amount of time and attention to recruit them? I don't really know, what do you people in the know think?
It give the recruits the ability to bond together with each other and the team. No harm in my opinion.
Nope, 100% lifelong Hawk fan (and psu hater) thru and thru. I let my initial handle I had for 20ish years die and started over with this one a few years back bc a few of the OT crazies turned into stalkers.
Having known Bill Bassett for over 25 years I would have to say he probably grew tired of the negativity towards his son and his choices. that being said Bill is a decent enough guy who wants what's best for his son and will probably let Bo make his own decisions. I think Bo learned some hard lessons when the HS team was banned from post-season participation because of his Dad's recruiting violations and Bill had to sit out the extra year longer than his team did. I know that Bo is deeply rooted in his religious beliefs and has a great support system...that being said I would think the way to approach Bo's recruiting would be to have Tom and Terry handle it personally and then have Spencer be the guy to show him around campus and explain to him the time and efforts put into being an Olympic star and show him how Bo would get those exact benefits and even more because he would have Spencer to wrestle and learn from. ....... PS... I would like to see the Mods BAN any and all of the PSU trolls because they do nothing but stir up $hit and cause drama. I am not picking any guys out in particular but I would definitely eliminate the trolls.

After looking at the post on FB, I think most critical guy was from Ohio, some from PA and some from Cali...this isn't to say we don't have our own jerkoffs here in the IA.
Is there a way for me to see these posts in question if I don’t have facebook?? If HawkeyePA knows the dad personally, he needs to contact him and tell him what chief just said. He also may want to talk to Ferrari parents to learn how to deal with rogue fans. Our fan base should never be a reason to lose recruits. It should be our biggest asset.
