Way too many overreactions on here. It's almost like we have created a monster after one miraculous 12-0 season that every bounce went our way.
We are very quickly beginning to sound like Nebraska fans.
Stop with the coach firing talk. That is absolutely absurd. Ferentz and Co have proven that they will lead a winning program long-term. The likelihood of IOWA ever winning 10 games every year is absolutely and utterly ridiculous - and embarrassing. STOP.
We lost on a last second play to a team that might actually be the best in the nation with a heisman candidate.
And lost to B1G rival, ON THE ROAD, By one touchdown. Yeah, ugly parts in that game for sure, but this is a YOUNG offense.
All of that, and our starting QB has just 5 games under his belt.
I am confident where we are today, where the program is heading, and the Ferentz' ability to lead winning teams. This DOES NOT mean National Titles...ITS. ****ING. IOWA. There is no program in the Midwest that has been consistently competing for a national title since Nebraska/Osborne. It's not a coincidence...kids these days do not want to live in the middle of nowhere with terrible weather when they can live in warm weather climates. Short-sited? Yes. Reality? Yes.
Keep this in perspective guys. Go Hawks.
