I see that for Friday, they already have Oklahoma slotted at 2:30p to play either Seton Hall or USC. Then Iowa's game vs the other team at 5p.

Is it really set up so that no matter the outcome of Thursday afternoon's game between Iowa & OU, they will play their opponent as scheduled on Friday? Weird scheduling.

Any chance that was done with the knowledge that the Hawkeye/Nebraska fball game would be running from 11am to ~2-2:30p that same day? Very considerate of them, if true. [EDIT:] But doubtful, because Oklahoma fball plays TCU at 11a on Black Friday, as well.

Does that also mean the SHU/USC winner plays the Iowa/OU winnner, and losers play each other Friday??

yeah looking at the tournament website, hawks will play at 5pm central on friday

Fox for sure scheduled it this way so that all of the Oklahoma fans that were watching their game against TCU will just stay on Fox for the basketball game. Winners still play the winner and losers still play the losers--but yeah this was a Fox decision since they hold the broadcast rights to the tournament.

Thursday's game is on FS1. Friday's says Fox Sports. Does that mean just on the App or TBD which Fox network?

What’s the scout on the Sooners. Don’t know much about them.
They haven't played anyone yet and have a brand new team this year so it's tough to really give a scout. But overall they've been a streaky 3 point shooting team with a couple guys who are shooting 40+% this year--though as a team they are sub 34%. They have 2 bigs who so far have looked good (again against terrible competition) but they also don't play very big at the "4" so that's an opportunity for Payton to exploit. Not much more to extrapolate--they have played legitimately one of the worst schedules of the season so far at #358 (out of 362) so there is not much to go off of.

Oklahoma reporters have commented on the somewhat sloppy play this season and too many turnovers; but, in general they have been impressed with the team’s newcomers and improved depth.
For our part, if we can come out and punch them in the mouth like we did first half at Creighton, we will give them more than they can handle.
