Cassioppi abusing everyone not named Parris or Gable.
Yep. Love Cass, but I don't like his matchup with Kerk. That body style and activity gives him trouble. I would be very surprised to see Cass win that match. Sorry, that's how see it.

Warner got that first takedown on a go behind, and I stood by the TV shaking my head and thought "of course he did"! LOL!

Good job bouncing back though Jacob.
It was a great reattack. That's what he was looking for all last night against Amine, but never came close. Amine wrestles like a middleweight.

Cass can earn a lot of points finishing 3rd or 4th than some guys finishing second will get.

Agree. The smaller, quicker guys always give him trouble. I think Kerk's going to get to his ankle several times.

Kerk goes all the way to the mat for that too, you don't see many HWT.s do that. Get him on bottom and see if Cass can ride and turn him, that's our only shot IMO. Sure hope I'm wrong.

Iowa would have to lose every single one of their nine matches and Penn State would have to win every single one plus have at least two bonus points wins to win this

Penn st. did a great job last night winning their matches. I think this early session is gonna tell the tale of the 2021 Big 10 championships. I expect our guys to wrestle well. Hopefully we will be celebrating later tonight, but the real prize is in a few weeks. We should keep that in mind today. Austin should injury default tonight...he’s not 100% and we need him for NCAA’s. Today should be fun!! Go Hawks.

Iowa goes 3 / 3. MSU vaults into top 5. PSU does not have the firepower to tally up difference making points on the backside. Formerly from Jersey, Rutgers' performance is disappointing. Rivera has the bulk of their points. Seems they have stalled below the midline of the B1G.

That is about what most of us expected for Iowa. How about MSU with a respectable 5th place spot. It was only a few years ago that they were at about the level of Maryland right now. Congrats for making strides. And a BIG OUCH for Maryland. Going to be tough to recruit with that type of showing.

Ironside says that's a good result for Murin. I agree. :D
Sure looks like Murin just ran into 2 guys on total heaters. Van Brill is a tough guy who's been around forever. Started at 141. Qualified at 157 last year. Came in 1-3, but his losses were to Sasso, Storr, and Parriott, and he had a win over Blockhus. People should have probably seen him coming more this weekend.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Iowa won the 2020 Big Ten Wrestling Championships title on Sunday with a team score of 157.5. The Hawkeyes earned their 36th Big Ten Championships title and first since 2015. Iowa claimed three individual titles from Spencer Lee (125), Pat Lugo (149) and Alex Marinelli (165).

Nebraska finished in second place with 132.0 points, followed by third-place Ohio State with 112.0. Penn State claimedfourth place with 107.0 points and Purdue rounded out the top five with 83.0 points.

Iowa’s Spencer Lee was named the Big Ten Wrestler of the Year, while Hawkeye head coach Tom Brands was named Big Ten Coach of the Year. Northwestern’s Sebastian Rivera earned Outstanding Wrestler of the Championships honors and Penn State’s Aaron Brooks received the Big Ten Freshman of the Year award.
