See I'll always remember you as the guy who wanted Michigan to pass a certain ban ballot initiative and thought a simple majority to pass it would be right and just. So your position here on this matter really doesn't surprise me. I find it wholly consistent with maintaining a male power structure over women.

LMFAO. My stance on abortion had literally NOTHING to do with Men having power over Women. I believe it is MURDER. You are killing a baby in its earliest stages. As far as my work experience goes, I have worked in a corporate setting for over 20 years. Mind you, it is not a large corporation, but big enough to have an HR and middle management. I personally have not had any work relationships, nor have I ever been slightly interested in one. But, I have actually personally seen one end up in marriage with children. I don't recall there ever being any animosity over the relationship between any other employees. The only thing I can remember is the occasional lover's quarrel being a slight distraction.

Again, I have no issue with it being a rule as long as every employee is made aware of it. Hell, I don't even have an issue with it being a terminable offense. Again, as long as every employee is made aware before hand.

One thing I will say is this board is so full of assumptions I can't get over it. Hell, the assuming part is the reason I got into this in the 1st place. I simply wanted more info before unilaterally calling Mark a POS, let alone a "sexual predator".

If everyone simply agreed with me it would be no fun. Yeah this "trial by web forum" sort of thing will always be a mistake. Seems like there's always mitigating circumstances or other little-known factors that come into play. There's a lot at stake for a coach or for an athlete, so tread lightly.

That said, sexual behavior of any sort between or from colleagues that work closely together is never a good idea nowadays, and is made much worse when one person has control of the other. What was acceptable in 1970 won't cut it in 2023. The world and the rules have changed, mostly for the better. Shaming either the accuser or the accused shouldn't ever happen here either. Rumor isn't fact. I suggest that we all let this little drama play out before we rush to judgement.

Jackie Joyner married her track coach, Bob Kersee, in 1986 around an age slightly less than 24. She began training under his tutelage in 1981. Those sure were different times. Still married as far as I can tell.
