I think that classless move is what started it, play at the end was icing on the cake!!
If you rewatch the last 10 seconds Fran was ready to shake hands, after the steal and basket the coach did the little count it with his hands and that is when Fran took off.. that is what set Fran over the edge. I have no problem with nd playing hard but when kids could get hurt with cheap play yeah that's too far
He waved the team off the court and that is what they did. That's low class behavior by ND.
Best option would have been to shake hands and tell Jones in the line that North Dakota is never again coming to Iowa city to play. The count it hand motion by Jones at the end was a douche move of the highest order. That said, wish Fran would see the big picture and not make end of game about him.
Meh, I'm used to the NBA where handshake lines aren't required and only a few close players exchange greetings.

Fran was really pissed about the foul on Jok w/ 12 to go. Said, "this is f-ing bulls$&t!" while looking at the ND bench. Took Jok out so he wouldn't have the potential to get hurt.
I'm sure the intentional fake flop, foul on Jok, then the stripe of Baer really pissed Fran off. I agree, that's how players get hurt or a fight breaks out. Don't need anyone out for B1G season or suspended due to a fight.

Watching the PC right now, Fran stands by his decision 100%. Coaching doesn't seem to be a good fit for you Pepperman.

He probably should have just quickly walked through the handshake line. OTOH he was rightfully upset and knowing his temper, maybe a good idea to walk to the locker room instead. I don't think its a big deal but I wish he would have instructed the rest of the team to shake hands because that was a very awkward end for the players.
Pussification of America. Proud of Fran and proud the team kept their shit together st the end. By the way did you notice the opposing dickhead coach saying the last basket should count? Stick up for your team and thank you Fran for doing so.
Probably a good idea that Fran skipped the handshake because I think he might have laid the other coach out.

I had a similar reaction. This team has a little edge to them. Like Pemsl attitude in previous games. Don't take shit from anyone

Let me spell it out for you. Fran is what he is, he's not changing. He has a temper, he hates to lose and he especially hates Teddy Valentine. I probably could've left that last reference out.
I look at this 2 ways........first I can tell you it is complete bull$hit the way ND handled the end of that game. If you have ever played in a contest where your opponent is pulling that kind of crap, and then you are expected to turn around and shake their hands and tell them good game as soon as it is over, then you know that is a hard thing to do. Hard for me to blame Fran there.
The other perspective I have here......and this is why I think Fran will look back and regret this after he cools down......is that this young team, who is starting to get on a bit of a roll, does not need any negative energy right now. Maybe this will end up being no big deal, but it could have been completely avoided.
There are other ways to get your point across. Go through the line, give a terse handshake and a FU through your teeth to the Coach.......then immediately inform your AD that they are no longer welcome in Carver, and if you feel strongly enough about it, badmouth them to other Big 10 Coaches so maybe they hesitate to schedule them as well.

No effin excuse Hillary. It was a professional response to why he did not shake hands. That was BS by the other team and coach. Period.
Give me a break. The refs were even pissed by the ND player at the end of the game stripping Baer with no time left. That's how fights occur.
Can't fault North Dakota going for that steal and last second shot. Just not too good with the math, there...
