South Dakota St QB Mark Gronowski visiting Iowa today, Jan 3. He won TWO Nattys, went 49-6 & threw for 10,330 yds & 93 TDs

It also makes the opposing team spend time preparing for that specific package throughout the week, when they could be working on something else during that time. Say they spend 8-10 minutes a day on a 'Sully Package' during the week, you're talking almost an hour of prep time spent on that package, when Iowa might not even use it.

It gives the coaches and players more to worry about.

and you keep Sully around when he knows he's gonna be playing

and all it takes is an injury to QB1 (assuming it's not Sully) and Sully is thrown in there

Franny and squeeze, don't make me bust out the Anchorman 'boy that escalated quickly gif'! :) I'm probably guilty of posting things in multiple threads too yet we are all passionate Hawk fans and I do appreciate intel from all so let's enjoy it and cross fingers Mark G. comes to the good side.

fingers definitely crossed

Cam Ward transferred to Miami. You just made the case for Gronowski to not choose Iowa.

If it is Iowa or the NFL Gronowski will likely speak to NFL reps and ask all the "what ifs". The upside of that is despite Iowa's offensive ineptitude KFz is respected in NFL circles. Either way it would seem playing at a place that's not pass-friendly is pretty risky.
JJ McCarthy wasn’t in a high power pass heavy offense and went like 11th or something… of course he was on an national championship team lol

wonder which thread you got this from? Maybe the transfer portal target thread, posted at 9 this morning? Bro it's becoming weird.

Wow, dude.

I got that pic from his 2019 visit from a guy I follow on Twitter (the tweet follows).

Seriously, I will ask again, what is wrong with you?

You are BEYOND weird.

And don't reply, ok? I know with your "issues" that you probably will, but please resist the urge.

I asked you to ignore your urges & not reply but I knew you would with more nonsense.

Seriously, are you ok?

If not, maybe you should call 911.

Good luck.

Weird that it was already posted, did you call 911 yet?

Weird (not), you replied to my post within seconds! I didn't even tag you, but I knew you were monitoring this thread and I knew you couldn't control your impulses & would respond.

Like I said, good luck, dude. You have issues.

not sure if you are aware, there is a little number next to the bell for threads you have replied to. That tells you when a thread is active. Have you talked to the 911 operator yet?

I mentioned the Gronowski Wilde package at least a week ago while Fran and the rests dungeons and dragons elite decks were still wrapped under the tree. :)

The elephant in the room that no one seems to want to talk about is that while he's obviously talented and has been hyper-productive, he has also spent his entire collegiate career playing for the FCS equivalent of Texas or Ohio State or Georgia.

At Iowa, he may very well represent an upgrade over what we have at the position. That alone could be reason enough to pursue him. But it seems overly optimistic to automatically assume he'll be as productive here when he's no longer surrounded by talent that equals or surpasses the top 5-7 programs in the sport.

you make a reasonable point but it’s also a fact that lester took the same bunch of guys who finished #128 and #130 or thereabouts to #65 (??) or so. so maybe even a incrementally better qb and receiver he will utilize well enough to getus into the top 50 on offense. alsokaleb was the most explosive finisher i’ve seen play for iowa, so it will take a slightly more qb centric offense to get there
