You are Exactly right. I never noticed this sort of thing until I watched the Luther and Cyclone Opens this year. Some refs really do stick it to the Hawk wrestlers if they have an opportunity.

I will go out on the limb and just say it. PK reminds me of the Bull.
Facundo is obviously a talent, and he will certainly have success. That said, watching those two matches…… “I like our guy.”
For a guy who is down from 174, PK not an especially big 165 pounder.
This match especially, he was basically just a clone of Bull out there
1st round will be complete when Swafford gets a big throw.
Hope Bull teaches the duck under and if PK gets that in his arsenal, he may be unstoppable on his feet.

Swafford certainly looks the part! Love his style. Almost had a couple big moves from top, but was smart about them. Fun kid to watch.
Had some really nice counter shots and one awesome blast double reshot. Rode him HARD. Had him on his stomach the whole time. Went for a snap cradle and head lever but were t there so he bailed on them quick.
Looked superior all around. Got some nice deep singles and drove right through the guy then jump back to secure. Could have hit it all day.

He was on bottom to start the second. Got out in about 10-15 seconds. I caught the end of it but it looked like he rolled through for the escape. No issues. He’s athletic.
Really looking forward to this one.
High-C cut back/kid sat him and he kicked over and finished in a double a couple times early. Looked for a right side single late to attack both sides and got stuck under in the middle on a double for a stalemate. Didn’t really catch his bottom. Thought it was just a workmanlike stand-up clear. EDIT: I just remembered, he got returned from bottom and jumped a head wheel in a seat belt and scrambled out. Sorry, just remembered!
I switched to his mat at the end of the 2nd. He was up 5-0 and finished on top and had 3 min of RT or so.
His opponent took neutral in the 3rd and Swafford got in on a sweep single switched to a double, got stalemated. He finished another single with 30 seconds left rode him out. Looked good!
Pfft...guy was only 6'6". People on here tend to exaggerate.
Brands could take some notes when it comes to generating offense.
