Lethal injection was touted as a painless way to execute people. Almost like going to sleep. The truth may be that the condemned suffer great pain as the sentence Is carried out.
Time. Injection is quick. Giving them time to think about the death as the c02 builds is fvcked. Why not just put them in an enclosed room and let the CO2 build up? That is literally like just falling asleep.
Or pipe in some CO fumes.
Those seem pretty "humane".
Government shouldn’t be in the business of killing people.
The more pain, the better.Lethal injection was touted as a painless way to execute people. Almost like going to sleep. The truth may be that the condemned suffer great pain as the sentence Is carried out.
(If reference to 2019 New York law change.)
The Facebook post oversimplifies and distorts what the New York law allows.
The Reproductive Health Act permits abortion after 24 weeks of pregnancy only if the mother’s life or health are threatened or if the fetus isn’t viable. The post doesn’t make clear significant restrictions still apply to the new law; rather, it gives the opposite impression.
We rate this post False.

One of these is the correct answer. And judging by the care they've taken in crafting their words, I suspect they understand the meaning of words, quite well.Do they not understand the meaning of words? Are they intentionally trying to deceive their readers?
@Wendy79 I'm not sure how to interpret your "laugh" emoji.
Go on the record.
Do you support the Virginia bill allowing doctors to execute a human life 1 day before term if he or she determines the mother is in 'emotional distress?'
Follow up question, what woman isn't in emotional distress 1 day before giving birth? Anyone?

So a gas chamber?

And I am ok with that.Lethal injection was touted as a painless way to execute people. Almost like going to sleep. The truth may be that the condemned suffer great pain as the sentence Is carried out.
Why do you have to make it scary?

Did you ever read “The Chamber” by John Grisham? Why do you have to make it scary?

I just want to go on record as saying that I support the death penalty in theory. In execution (pun kind of intended) however, it needs to go away unless we can get to 0% chance of executing innocent people.
Dying of CO2 asphyxiation is actually pretty horrible. It’s like drowning.
Nitrogen asphyxiation is apparently the best way to go. Fall asleep with no pain. Carbon Monoxide can cause headaches or feeling ill, and takes longer.
Kevorkian’s lawyer (Geoffrey Fieger), his brother is Doug Fieger from The Knack. Thanks, Dr. Death.
Proponents want to sell that it’s clean and humane, so people don’t feel like savages.Lethal injection was never about being painless it was about being clean.
If we wanted a painless method of execution we would just go with blown from a cannon.

Our search for execution methods has always been about getting a cleaner more socially acceptable looking death. Not about getting the most painless method of death.
How does that relate to what the US Constitution says? How do you think a painful execution impacts those who carry out the sentence? I’ve heard anecdotal stories of prison staff struggling with carrying out the death penalty. Some states make allowances, but for many staff members they must carry out orders despite personal beliefs. Or, despite negative prior experiences executing someone. The more pain, the better.

At least 95% were murdering people.Government shouldn’t be in the business of killing people. Also, at least 5-8% of those executed and on death row were/are innocent.
