If Steveson pins everyone I think theres a 1000% chance he wins the Hodge
Speaking of Steveson's chances - has anyone won the Hodge finishing second?

If he really wants to make an Olympic run, I think this is the best path. He doesn't have the freestyle experience that Lee and Fix do. He'll probably really benefit from a year of focus on it. It also minimizes his weigh ins for his cut back down to 57kg.Chatter that suriano isn’t enrolled anymore and preparing for an Olympic run at 57kg.

Makes 133 Seth Gross's to lose, if he is in fact at 133 this year. Crazy that we could potentially see 3 of the top 4 contenders at the weight all take an Olympic RS.
Sounds like beating colon made him think he can do it. Should be a boring ncaa season for Rutgers fans. He was our only horse.
LMAO, are you serious with the comment or just trying to stir things up??I’ll take Suriano over Gilman this season if he wrestles freestyle.

Those two things are not mutually exclusiveLMAO, are you serious with the comment or just trying to stir things up??
Suriano was winning before the takedown. Colon showed no ability to score on him. Take away that "brain-fart gift" and Suriano still wins.I think if thats the case Nick is basing it off Colon's stupidity.
Anyone ever figure out what made Colon space off and turn to look away at something that allowed Suriano to get that TD?
At that level I still dont know what Colon was thinking. He just wrestled like crap in that match. Played into Nicks game plan to hang and then gives him a brain-fart gift.
Sorry, Ruinous, but reasoned well thought out posts are not allowed on this board.I am going to quickly wash my mouth out after this post, but I think Suriano is seriously underrated on this board. He may not be Lee's caliber, but he seems to continue to prove people wrong even if it is not always fun/pretty to watch. My less than 2 cents.

You mean charges or no, not conviction or no.There is zero chance Steveson wins in the same season that he was arrested for sexual assault, conviction or no, even if he pins everyone.

Hey the Nebraska running back is on the hook for a lot worse and he only had to sit out a half.
Look at what Gilman did to Nico after he cut down to 57kg. I think that should answer your question. Why is that ridiculous?
I know that folkstyle doesn't always translate perfectly to freestyle, but if a guy can hang with (and ultimately beat) Fix in the NCAA finals, why would it be ridiculous to think he could also beat the guy Fix beat a few months later?

I never once used the word "ridiculous". I did literally laugh out loud though when I read the prediction of Suriano beating Gilman. Yes, there is a possibility that he could beat Gilman, put to predict him as the favorite is funny to me. I honestly believe Gilman will rag doll Suriano just like he did Nico.I'm not sure how Gilman beating Nico means Suriano has no shot against Gilman.
I'm not saying Suriano would definitely beat Gilman. In fact, I'd expect Gilman to win. But I don't think it's ridiculous to think Suriano **could** win.
Agree on that.i think gman is the under rated one. don't know about this year, but my money is on thomas for the olympic spot next year.

I think you may be generalizing a bit much, which happens often here.I am going to quickly wash my mouth out after this post, but I think Suriano is seriously underrated on this board. Bad match up for desanto - gross would ride him hard and also prob counter him coming forward...I would love to see desanto stay at 33. I think he can beat gross.
per tony hager on twitter sounds like Seabass isnt cutting weight anymore, maybe on the move to 133.

Perhaps, but you can't be convicted if you are never charged. A real lawyer would know that.Sure. He was taken into custody on a serious sex charge. He's not getting the "Heisman Trophy of College Wrestling" the same season. It's just not happening.

That's great news for Gilman. ThanksI’ll take Suriano over Gilman this season if he wrestles freestyle.
Ah yes, Kafka's The Trial.Actually, you can be since an arrest affidavit can be used as a charging document in certain circumstances, if you want to get technical about it.
If Gilman can keep his focus and health, he can beat anybody—if he wrestles smart. But, Suriano is no slouch—he’s got balls of steel. Just pure balls to escape from Fix.I’ll take Suriano over Gilman this season if he wrestles freestyle.
Lee is great, but good argument could be made that Fix is better. Suriano beat Fix. Without Lee’s late 1st period takedown in NCAA finals, Suriano could have stalled his way to overtime and won on rideouts or a scramble situation. You guys are crazy to say 100% Lee can’t be beat by Suriano. But, it’s a strawman argument because if Lee gets beat, it’s because he wasn’t healthy.
