So for us beer drinkers with a political bent; can we get Swarm beer sold at Kinnick to replace Bud Light. My apologies if this question has been asked. I was too lazy to read four pages of posts.
political or not...you'd think it would be a no-brainer to have a brand involved with program support sold at the stadiumSo for us beer drinkers with a political bent; can we get Swarm beer sold at Kinnick to replace Bud Light. I think the point is that the “not a real fan” narrative is turning the Swarm into a wedge issue. And it’s not helping the cause. You outed yourself as what type of fan you are especially by trying to use me as your excuse for not contributing. I contribute in spite of alleged fans like you and you were never going to contribute to begin with.
I can agree on that but 1800 members is embarrassingI think the point is that the “not a real fan” narrative is turning the Swarm into a wedge issue. And it’s not helping the cause.
There’s lots of ways to be a great fan. Supporting the Swarm is one way, but not the only way.
When can I get the beer?

Maybe. It’s been less than a year since they’ve been operational. Hopefully, they’ve spent some time creating a good marketing plan they can roll out in months ahead, especially when football starts. They need to get control of the narrative, and then blast the fan base with it. Make it a positive thing. Not something fans fight about on message boards. 😉I can agree on that but 1800 members is embarrassing
Thanks I didn’t see that in any of the articles I read.SWARM Golden Ale will be available in tap room and on store shelves by late July, per release.
20% of SALES will go to the SWARM collective.
Swarm Golden Ale will be available for fans to purchase in retail stores, restaurants, entertainment venues, and the taproom at Exile Brewery in Des Moines.
Exile Brewing Company is a locally owned, family business. Every drop of their beer is brewed, bottled, kegged, and canned at their historic brewery in downtown Des Moines.
Thanks I didn’t see that in any of the articles I read.
I want to see if my golf club can get it. We have Ruthie.you're very welcome
i think they are close to being done with perfecting how it will taste
it will be interesting to see where you can buy it; I really hope Hy-Vee carries it so that you can buy it in a total of 8 states
We will be advertising in Kinnick this year. We actually advertised last year too. I had to pay quite a bit for it (I did it out of my own pocket because I couldn’t stomach to use sonar dollars for this). With a SWARM ad in Kinnick Stadium, people might hear about the SWARM collective for the first time or they might learn more about it.
When fans learn that SWARM got us McNamara, All, Brown, etc, they might want to start donating.
When fans learn that they can support SWARM by buying SWARM beer, they just might do it.

I will let you know on May 24th after my meeting w Aramark and Athletics.political or not...you'd think it would be a no-brainer to have a brand involved with program support sold at the stadium
Spot onI think the point is that the “not a real fan” narrative is turning the Swarm into a wedge issue. And it’s not helping the cause.

I wouldn’t worry too much about using donor dollars for advertising. It’s in donors’ best interests for the Swarm to be viable, and it can’t be viable unless people know what it is. And people won’t know what it is unless you advertise. We will be advertising in Kinnick this year. We actually advertised last year too. You can agree on this??? LolI can agree on that but 1800 members is embarrassing
As Obama said about Joe.I think @Tx_Hawk is going to try to get it sold at Kinnick
Thanks, Tx_Hawk, Go get 'em!I will let you know on May 24th after my meeting w Aramark and Athletics.
When does the beer come out again? My bride and I had a good idea last night and we want to plan something around the availability. Thanks in advance!I will let you know on May 24th after my meeting w Aramark and Athletics.
Should be in stores in mid to late July...we will definitely have a couple of SWARM parties to commemorate the occasion. When does the beer come out again? My bride and I had a good idea last night and we want to plan something around the availability. Thanks in advance!

My guess is, it’s based upon what exile gets from its distribution network. It would be close to impossible, I would think, to track what everybody is selling it for.SWARM will be getting 20% of sales.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but, just to be clear, does this mean that:
* In restaurants, if we buy a $7 pint, SWARM gets $1.40?
* At Hy-Vee if we buy a case for $25, SWARM gets $5?
The reason I ask: the "sale" could be what Hy-Vee orders from the brewery, which might be at, say, $15/case (and then they mark it up to say, $25), so then SWARM would only be getting $3/case instead of $5.

Based off of Exile’s current beer prices, does anyone expect a huge rush of people buying $50 cases of Swarm beer?
I heard that from no less than Tyrone Tracy who said, and I paraphrase, "The NCAA has to do SOMEthing, it's already out of control NOW".There isnt even a cap! I mean, any multi millionaire(s) willing to throw his/their money at a program to buy players, there is no limit. It’s ridiculous!
How would a Floridian get hold of some, short of driving to Iowa?Should be in stores in mid to late July...we will definitely have a couple of SWARM parties to commemorate the occasion.
Looks like it’s $7 more per 12 pack than Coors, Bud or Miller. That’s what you’d expect for any halfway decent craft beer.Based off of Exile’s current beer prices, does anyone expect a huge rush of people buying $50 cases of Swarm beer?
We bought Hawkeye Vodka before so I don't think it'll be a problem.Based off of Exile’s current beer prices, does anyone expect a huge rush of people buying $50 cases of Swarm beer?
