The CC Show....

No; she was not playing above the level of other candidates.
Not sure how many times you need to hear that before it finally sinks in, but here's one more.

Reminded of Demi Moore…. Your honor I strenuously object….. overruled.

This is what people say who know they weren't picking the right people when they made the team and knew the decision would be looked at as a poor choice once it was made.

But whatever, they got what they wanted I guess. To quietly get their gold medal and return home. Meanwhile we got inundated with cool ass Turkish pistol guy and evil Romanian bronze medal theft conspiracy and whatever the hell that Australian breaking competitor was doing.

Coach Reeve don’t give two sh*ts about people watching…..
their agenda got declining viewers in a market where the American viewing numbers were up 82%. Bravo to them.

And yet, Taurasi's play in the Olympics is somehow "relevant"

Interesting "logic" there
That’s it? That’s your feeble response?
Keep going. It’s like watching Willie Mays close out his career. You want to remember the greatness but all you can see is the failures.

Nor should she.
Her goal was to field a team to win a medal.

Go re-read Herb Brooks' quote on the 1980 US Hockey team if you need a reminder on that.
Herb Brooks coached this team?

Go back and reread the mission statement for the group that made the selections.

You have trouble following up so I thought I could help.

‘As the governing body for basketball in the United States, USA Basketball is a worldwide leader in the sport through competitive excellence in international competition and by promoting, growing and elevating the game at all levels while ensuring that athletes and other participants compete and develop in a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment.”

Promoting….. means don’t put the most popular women’s player in the world on the team….. to you.

If she was starting? Absolutely
Sitting on the bench for 90% of the game, probably not so much.
In your opinion. Surely you have some supporting information….. you don’t? Shocking.

Last four months, more social media views than any team in the NFL.
Translates to viewers.

Clark would not have been sitting on the bench. The guard play in the Olympics was poor. Taurasi was benched, Reeve would have had to play Clark, she was continually looking for the right guard combo. Clark would have solved the problem the team had.
Wilson and Stewart dominated the Olympics. They just needed a PG that could handle the ball pressure, push the action, and distribute the ball to the bigs. Exactly what Clark is good at.

But it’s international basketball!!!! As he has said repeatedly’they play defense’
She has never played against teams like that!!!! Those international teams are so much better that they have a plethora of silver, bronze and no medal results.

Taurasi’s poor play in the Olympics validated what many of us have been saying for months - she’s too old and no longer the best option to help the team win gold. Her presence on the team had nothing to do with making the team better. It was strictly a case of letting a longtime star win one last gold medal. And that decision very nearly cost Team USA a 60-game winning streak and gold medal.

I'm curious, do people argue with this Joes Troll guy just for their own entertainment? His takes are so absurd you know he's just stirring the pot right? There's no way people can take his views seriously?
I for one enjoy seeing what nonsense he comes up with. For example, blaming the lowest tv ratings in 16 years on all the Trump supporters who couldn’t watch the game because they were in church.

Reactions: Dr. Phil Seuss
Not the same level of competition. Go re-read CCs struggles early in the season and her TOs issues.
She played pretty much from last October straight through to the Olympics. As a rookie, she was coming off a national final run and exhausting 6 month media circus of a season with no rest and recuperation playing against well rested veterans that hate her for being too rich and famous while not being black or lesbian. She took well documented targeted cheap shots, double teams, and plays on a bad team.

She had 10 assists in 26 min against this Olympic team in the all star game, won the game, and is widely regarded as the only thing worth watching in women’s

But muh stats. Caitlin dudnt play well against the big gals.
