The Elon Musk Twitter shitshow

Elon should have listened to Ron more. He listened to the part about not taking the bait for all the BS that gets published about SpaceX and Tesla but he takes stuff personally and jumps to conclusions. I cannot imagine how stressed out he is on the daily.

I have no doubt that there were many in the car and other industries that wanted Tesla to fail.
But the people didn't. He had widespread support until he talked his way out of it.

If you still think you're more informed regarding everything Elon has exposed regarding how Twitter was run, and still butthurting about his tweets, you're the problem that needs fixing.

I remember reading that "investors from Saudi Arabia" helped him fund the purchase

Saudis already owned ~20% of Twitter, they “helped” one way by rolling their ownership stake into the private offering instead of selling at the sale price. They also helped by funding the purchase. This is all public knowledge.

The amusing thing is that people like @Joes Place were fine with Saudi ownership and Chinese / Indian government agents literally working at Twitter pre-Elon. Or so it seems? But now? Oh that’s trouble.

Never mind the fact that he said he would take Twitter public again at a later date post fix.

And how, specifically, does this mean we should not be concerned about authoritarian regimes using Twitter to spread their lies and fake news?

And undermine democracies that stand against their grip on power, and human rights abuses?

Be specific here.

This was happening before by Twitter, which is one of the reasons I was supportive of Elon buying it. Russia & China were using Twitter to sow division and promote their agendas. Nary a peep about it or about Twitter’s malfeasance from the Left.

In the last 5 months under Musk’s tenure we have seen popular uprisings in Iran & Georgia. We have seen political support for the situation in Moldova, against the wishes of Russia(worst alleged putin sympathizer ever!) All freely shared on Twitter.

Elon went to the State Department to reclassify Starlink products in order to be allowed to legally import them into the country to help the protestors. In opposition to the technocrat regime.

Demonstrations in Georgia are being live streamed via Twitter. In opposition to Putin’s imperial influence.

Maybe if you could ease up on chasing a bogeyman for five minutes you could see what is really happening.

Does that mean he's owned by the communist party of China as Bannon and Gaetz claim?
Means he's in a similar position as any other wealthy businessman who does business in China, which is why people drumming the new cold bar beat are wearing on me. A lot of the upper class in this country certainly doesn't think we're actually changing our relationship with China but it may help them if politicians and pundits can convince the rest of us we're in a new cold war and we need to sacrifice as a nation to defeat the Chinese.
