They were banned because they intentionally broke the site rules.
His aircraft data is not public information. He intentionally has a private aircraft registration for safety concerns. The Elon’s Jet kid was inferring his aircraft location, then sharing it for attention.

For the record, I do not think he’s a threat to national security.
I think he has done some good things for Ukraine and think it’s wrong for people to believe Starlink should be provided for free, if that is what’s happening.
My issues with Musk are more about him. I think he’s a complete prick, and a terrible troll, and would have far fewer fans if he wasn’t wealthy. He also lies a lot and is thin-skinned when called out on anything.
And he’s way too enamored with the let the people decide what’s true/democracy rules mindset.
So the US Government and the Commanding General of Joint Chiefs of Staff do not believe Elon Musk or his acquisition of Twitter is “a threat to national security” but there is still some lingering question and is a matter of opinion. Derrrrrrrrrrp.

I'm of the opinion that social media in general is a threat by it's very nature. I don't think Musk changed it much if at all.
I don't think Musk is a right winger. I think he's just incredibly naive, narcissistic, and easily led by whomever is stroking his ego and making him feel incredibly important at the time. Right now, the right wing media found a way to lure him and so he's doing their work. At some point I think it will change again. Not because he grows some ethics, but because he'll be distracted by some new thing if he's ever able to get disconnected from twitter as a primary distraction.
That type of person, when they have access to large funds can be beneficial to humankind when the right people connect and manipulate essentially. At the same time, they can just as easily get pulled in the opposite direction.

Perhaps, I think you may be underestimating his emotional intelligence. He does have the ability to apologize and admit when he is wrong. I’ve seen it time and again. Twitter is a different animal, he is attacked relentlessly on there by anonymous angry people. That would affect anyone. Sometimes he bites back.
For example, Tesla is still California’s largest manufacturing employer after a Cali State Representative(?) told him “F*ck Elon Musk”, all he said was “Message received.” That lady is a union shill who was angry Tesla wasn’t unionizing.
He handled that exchange better than the politician did. He up and moved the company headquarters to Texas. Didn’t fight about it.
Too many people only look for the bad and dismiss anything else. Humans are more nuanced than that. Everyone isn’t as bad as they are on their worst days and they arent as good as they are on their best days. At least not in my experience.
He will reshape Twitter for the better and turn it over to someone extremely capable and competent that shares his vision for what the platform should be. A platform for the free exchange of ideas and views, even those that are disapproved by majority sentiment. This is a good thing.
