The New WBB Recruiting Thread

Thanks for the link on the recruiting of Tyasha Harris, Cyber. If she's looking for the best "family fit", she ought to feel right at home at Iowa.

I thought I had better edit this by putting a comma between Harris and Cyber, so as not to confuse people with the last name. ha ha

It could be that she views her other favorite(s) as equally 'fit' and will decide based on some other criteria. If program prestige is important she might favor South Carolina. They are a final four caliber team. They have a young and popular head coach. They are also number one in attendance nationally with over 12,000 per game. Those factors will be hard for Iowa to beat.

South Carolina does have a lot going for it. From a player stand point they bring back the nations top front court including former #1 player in her class Kaela Davis becoming eligible after transferring. They lose their entire guard court this year & are bringing in another 5* point guard too, so their is opportunity in the back court for early playing time. With Iowa's back court she'd likely have the opportunity to start early & play the 1-3 similar to what they did with Logic early in her career. She knows Whitney Jennings which might help & if distance is a factor Iowa City is closer to Indianapolis than Colombia, SC.

Amanda Ollinger had 16 points and 13 rebounds in helping Linn-Mar to its 7th straight win.

Chrislyn Carr with multiple 30 point games hits for another 32 points against a good North Scott team.

Jinaya Houston hits a three. She led Davenport North to their first conference title.http://qctimes.com/sports/high-scho...cle_b633ee35-7377-5bd8-b5fd-aba05a591be8.html

Excited about Jinaya Houston. Watched some video of her & she'll likely be one if not the best athletes Bluder will have had at Iowa.

Taylor Kissinger is back after breaking her wrist early on. First game on Jan. 12...19 points 6 rebounds. Last game 35 points.

Naya is the only announced verba.
I went to the West High-City High game tonight. Ashley Joens scored 26 points for City, nearly half of the team total in the win.

Amanda Ollinger had her third straight double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

I'll be curious to see how she develops in college. I sure hope she's a huge asset for the Hawks, but frankly I think the pace of the game will be a bit much for her for awhile.

Arieal Scott 2018 SG displays some skills...

Also, at th end of Arieal's segment is a link to 2019 G Anaya People's, her teammate who also has an Iowa offer.

Taylor would look good in Black & Gold. I like her size and shooting range.

Taylor playing with Naya might pay some dividends.

Here is video of 2018 G Cassidy Hardin, a 3pt shooter

North plays CR Kennedy Tuesday night. Who is Kennedy's best player to look out for.

Besides Davenport North vs. CR Kennedy (Jinaya) on Tuesday....
Mason City (Makenzie Meyer) vs Waverly-Shell Rock
Linn-Mar (Amanda Ollinger) vs DM Dowling

Bre Cera and her Mukwonago team start Sectionals on Friday. They are ranked #1 in Division One at 19-3.

At North game end of first guarter 20-20. Both Houston and Sellers went to the bench with 3 fouls a piece with 2 minutes left in 1st. Hayden kept Kennedy in the game with 15 pts half time score 32 -30 Kennedy. Houston and Sellers never came back in the rest of first half

Hayden with 20 in the 3rd just went to the bench, knee injury.

3rd period ends Kennedy 53-46.

Sellers kid is pretty good with 17

Houston struggling with 8.

Houston rolling now 56-53 North 3:40

Houston playing great D refs are horrible on both teams.

Linn-Mar won 61-49 . Amanda had 14 points and 9 rebounds.
Sophs led the way. Megan Murphy hit 7 threes and had 21, Kamryn Finley hit 5 threes and 19.
Congrats to Jaime Printy Brandt. Her first State tournament as a coach in her second season!
