*****The Official Iowa vs Wisconsin Game Thread*****

How many times have idiot fans been right about which QB should be playing and Kirk has been wrong? It should never happen and it’s happened at least 5 times. Kirk is the definition of stubborn ass.
Spot on Tom. The guy is a horrible coach when it comes to offense. Close to worst in the nation.
The worst part is he doesn't recognize it and turn it over to those that are good at it.
Old narcissist at this point. Too much power with no checks.

He did say that, but it was not clear that he meant as a starter. If he starts CM next week he should be fired at halftime. I think he was just making a comment though.
Yeah, that sounded like a throwaway line to pat Cade's back. I share the opinion that Sully has won the job. He really was outstanding today. Threw some nice balls when needed but why throw a wet pig through the rain to a receiver with wet hands when you're rushing for 329 yards. Great game.

Depends if Iowa loses, but I know what you mean.

I want Sullivan to start like everyone else, but I'm not arrogant enough to pretend that I know EVERYTHING that there is to know to make that decision.

For example - if Wisky would have fully committed to stopping the run - it looked like they weren't as aggressive as many other teams would be - and played containment on the edges for Sullivan and made him throw, do we think he could throw accurately enough? I don't know- he's typically WAY behind the WR on crossing routes for one thing. Why Wisky didn't sell out and force him to throw I don't know, but these other teams will force Iowa to throw 25+ times, not 12 times.
He's like a 65% career passer. He had like 1 bad pass the entire game. Actually should have been caught.
Have you watched Cade???
They couldn't fully commit to stopping the run, just like NW after Sully came in. It's a whole new animal when you have a mobile QB.

For a coach that likes to minimize risk.... Sullivans bad plays tonight...

Intentional grounding and one throw behind a receiver while rolling out..

THATS IT!!

58 yards rushing on 9 carries
7/10 passing for 93 yards
1 TD
1 sack
181 QBR

Scratching where it itches
Clearly Captain Conservative thinks that QBR is ridiculous.

1.81 is more where he likes it. Hell, if you can get out 0.181, all the better!

I'm assuming the Kirk has ACTUAL reasons for being hesitant with Sullivan, whereas others are just assuming he's a homer or it's "his guy" or something stupid like that - as if he doesn't apply reasoning to the situation.

If you assume Kirk actually KNOWS something that we don't, I assume it is the ability to read defenses and make accurate throws, and that we will see that come to light eventually.

That being said, I agree that Cade hasn't been that impressive in actual game action, and it is clear that Wisky couldn't crash their DE down the LOS in pursuit of the RB like they could before, because of Sullivan. But that was about the only real change for them. That is a plus for Sullivan.

What I didn't see though is Wisky just manning up on WR's with a single high safety and just run blizing with 8 in the box on 1st downs. I think that is coming. That would force us into throwing from the pocket on 1st downs under pressure - with very average WR's and a 3rd string TE....and potentially a QB who isn't that accurate. That's what I expected tonight actually. Hell, we only had 34 yards passing in the first half and much of it on 1 throw. WTF is Wisky doing?!?!

Moulton looks better and better every touch. It's crazy.
Hmmm, KJ 135yds, Moultan and Jazzy both over 70. You guys think maybe the OL is better then you guys think? First game back for Stephens and the OL having all five starters again and whoop the badgers asses.

Try being a damn fan for five minutes pussy. The first damn play that goes south you and the other asshat QC are on hear crying, "Oh we're going to lose". Sack up shit bird...
I didn't say we lost, you illiterate cock. I said if we let them march down the field, the game would be over, because we aren't a team that's built from behind. You're just a coward who's too much of a Kirk stan to criticize anything. Time for bed, **** stick.

Not with pass pro, like all the outlets have said. Hmmm, maybe you should actually watch the games? Worthless nutsack.

A slap in the goddam face of Sullivan for what KF says after the game. Your team is so much better with #1 out there
At what point did he say Cade was starting. So Kirks the coach of the whole team right? And one of his teams Captains, (voted on by the team) might be back next week, and the guy said we'll be happy to have him back. This of course starts three pages of blasting the coach for something that hasn't happened yet. Like him replacing Sully. Ah yes, Iowa fans, God love em...

Coward. Lolol. Your the one crying on the first F------ quarter that we'd might lose if they score. We end up mopping the floor up with them but heck why let the game play out for even a few minutes pussy. One of the truly worst type of fair weather Mfer's on here.....

Maybe you should let the players play more then 5 minutes before you start crying like a two year old baby.

Always a coward. You comment when everything is said and done acting like a know it all, but you just look like a pathetic tool. We had terrible play calling in the first quarter. Criticism is always necessary. You remain one of the most insufferable asshats on this board, and that's saying something.

I commented to you and your side bitch QC in the first quarter. You two babies were already crying like 2 year olds. Maybe let them play for a bit before you get the hankies out like a couple of little girls. Talk about insufferable asshats. You should know......

Maybe? Sully has started 9 Big Ten Games. Sully was 74% as freshman, 63.3% soph year. If my math is right, and that can be a big if think has career average today's game brings him to an even 70% on the season, and he found and hit a guy running wide open and the big boy in stride. Sully sits at a career 68.8%.

Sully could probably hit some big throws. Unconventional perhaps because he moves the pocket and can throw on the run. Sully's mobility is a factor that is new in game planning Iowa. No 8 guy front with line backers in position to pour through any holes left by the DL. Its going to be harder to leave no eyes on the GB' breaking the play with a wide-open running lane for a 10-20 yard game.

Was LVR injured?

I made a single comment, you psychotic freak. And I never said anything about the Oline. QC cries in every thread, every week, which is why I've had him on ignore since the season started. But fans have the right to criticize, and I stand by what I said at that point in the game. You're reaching eyesofhawk levels of delusion with your incoherent nonsense, worthless chode.

I think Bucky was just mentally beaten in the third quarter. The boys really dominated the line and Sully executed what I think was the game plan. Run the weaker team to death. Stay with safe throws and take off when you need to. When the other risk is going to be a Heisman finalist the defenses do have to stretch out both horizontally and vertically. More open field more offense for Iowa.

Iowa is just going to kick the shit our of ucla.

Someone call the police, we need to report a murder!

Iowa fans have been pretty spot on with eval of QBs, WRs, and OCs the past decade. They aligned pretty much right along with the announcers, reporters, and other "experts". From the rumors, the team was really wanting BS to start a few weeks ago, which is also something many fans were calling for.
