I'm assuming the Kirk has ACTUAL reasons for being hesitant with Sullivan, whereas others are just assuming he's a homer or it's "his guy" or something stupid like that - as if he doesn't apply reasoning to the situation.
If you assume Kirk actually KNOWS something that we don't, I assume it is the ability to read defenses and make accurate throws, and that we will see that come to light eventually.
That being said, I agree that Cade hasn't been that impressive in actual game action, and it is clear that Wisky couldn't crash their DE down the LOS in pursuit of the RB like they could before, because of Sullivan. But that was about the only real change for them. That is a plus for Sullivan.
What I didn't see though is Wisky just manning up on WR's with a single high safety and just run blizing with 8 in the box on 1st downs. I think that is coming. That would force us into throwing from the pocket on 1st downs under pressure - with very average WR's and a 3rd string TE....and potentially a QB who isn't that accurate. That's what I expected tonight actually. Hell, we only had 34 yards passing in the first half and much of it on 1 throw. WTF is Wisky doing?!?!
