The race is breaking

The problem with all of this kind of talk is that you guys are basically saying "all of the meteorological evidence suggests its going to be a sunny day today" even though, if you look out the window, you can see the rain coming down.

All of the logic in the world doesn't change the poll numbers, and dismissing them is awfully arbitrary.
Bad analogy.
How about “all of the meteorological evidence suggests it will not rain today" even though, if you look out the window, you can see some dark clouds.

Our problem is that we don’t know what is in those clouds.

LOL - But zero permits on private lands.
Do you understand capitalism? The big oil companies have access to tens of thousands of acres of private land on which they can drill. They chose not to because too much supply would drive down their profits, making drilling everywhere they could not a good return on their investment. Unless you want to nationalize the energy companies and force them to produce more oil and gas, you are not going to see substantially more product on the open market. Of course, nationalizing the companies would make you a communist, so I’m guessing you’re not into that. Trump talks a big game around energy, but the reality is he will do nothing in this area to increase production because there is nothing he can do.

THIS!!

Welp, I hit play in a public setting, and unknowingly had my vol all the way up. The quick glances and smirks as I furiously failed at smashing the side button as the initial grunt happened were enlightening. Thanks Joe!
believe me it feels much worse in a private (as in home) setting

They have a lot of work to do to catch up with the democrats. These are Bucks County numbers. We know PA is going to have a big Election Day turnout because of the changes to early voting.

These numbers do not include all that many low propensity voters.

Half of those showing as not voting in 2020 are in the age group of 18-29.

We know that the GOP has started to accept and promote early/absentee voting more this election cycle than they did in 2020.
Of these 61 million votes already cast and the women outnumbering men at a 55/45 ratio, that's fantastic news for Harris!
So the Election Day turnout, where Republicans typically have more success, won't be a GOP strength.

Early vote is 66 million now in.

Interesting stats from the ones tracking party affiliation is over 25% of the voters are not affiliated with party. I think that is good sign for Harris. Also, for ones that track gender, women are outvoting men by 11%…..

I don’t know, there are a lot of conservatives who have dropped their registration in the GOP in a symbolic gesture, but when push comes to shove they are voting for Trump.

Most will. But some won't. It's that some that will sink Trump.

Yep, but then also a lot of them even before Trump really. The same sort of anti-traditional Republican sentiment, hatred for politicians like Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan and Dick Cheney...that already resulted in a lot of people dropping their R registration. Especially post GW Bush and post Iraq.

I am a traditional William F Buckley, National Review type conservative all the way...but the element that Trump has energized, the populist side, was already there waiting for someone like him. Largely working class voters and super patriots that bore most of the real brunt of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and felt totally effed over by it. There is no Trump with out the war in Iraq.

So yeah, you have those that dropped in response to Trump, those that dropped before Trump...like everything else it's hard to predict. You can tell different stories that all make sense. Plus you have general Republican registrations way up everywhere.
