This is some kind of regional accent and I am on the cusp of it. If I’m speaking quickly or informally I might periodically drop the “T” I think it MIGHT be an upper Great Plains thing that spills into northern Iowa and gets less common the further SE you go. I knew a family that moved to NE IA from NW Iowa and they all consistently spoke as you described. I could be way off on this.Do you realize you don’t say the “t”?
