This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

"The Mowag Piranha is a family of armoured fighting vehicles designed by the Swiss company Mowag (since 2010 General Dynamics European Land Systems – Mowag GmbH).

Five generations of vehicles have been produced, manufactured by Mowag or under licence by other companies (notably the LAV), and variants are in service with military forces throughout the world."

Love seeing the high APV, tanks, and troop numbers. I expect those numbers will climb even more once our Bradley’s get put to use.
I have been busy with work this week and kinda of lost track of how many were promised and when. Are there more coming into service soon?

They will receive over 100 and some are there already-we have video of them being unloaded then crossing Poland. Another report told of 600 or so Ukrainians completing their training on them.
Soon Russia will be caught up in a mechanized war of movement (I hope).

"How many Bradleys will Ukraine receive?

Ukraine should receive a total of 109 Bradleys, which are highly-mobile tracked vehicles for transporting and providing covering fire to infantry. They are armed with a 25mm autocannon and TOW anti-tank missiles.Jan 31, 2023"

Good! But probably just more Russian lies.

Wouldn't mind seeing Ukraine eliminate the Russians in Transnistria. Eliminate a pretty marginal "threat" that unfortunately Ukraine has to expend forces to guard against. Eliminate them and deploy those Ukrainian forces back to where the real fight is...

Seriously...if you look at the map and include the Belarus border...Ukraine has to expend forces over a very large area that really doesn't pose a serious threat. But they have to honor the threat.

It looks like the first batch arrived in Germany on February 17th. Not sure how long it takes them to travel from Germany to Ukraine. I imagine the kill count will go up dramatically once they make it to Ukraine. I’m not sure how many were in the first shipment but everything I’m seeing is we promised 60 for now.

"How good are Bradley Fighting vehicles?

“What the Bradley does is bring firepower,” says Mark F. Cancian, a retired Marine Corps reserves colonel and senior advisor at CSIS. “It is powerful enough to punch through a lot of armor, not just for lightly armored vehicles, but even tanks.”

Looks like I was wrong on the total number. 60ish is the first batch with 109 announced as the total. Bradley’s followed up with the Leopard 2 MBT should provide one hell of a punch for the Ukrainian Army.

Can you imagine the havoc they could create if they were given A10s?

Big, big fan of the A-10 but it isn't gonna happen. Worked them for about 10 years and just the maintenance aspect pretty much makes them a no go. Add to that Russia's air defenses are still pretty damned good and you come up with a no go....which makes me :(

I wonder if Poland would have an interest in taking care of Moldova. I know they don't share a border but I am sure Ukraine would be okay with them rolling through to take care of business.

Fair enough.

But you really think Russia didn't realize interrupting the Biden visit would be an opportunity?
Yeah big opportunity, but I didn't hear that had happened. Did it? I honestly haven't heard they tried. Just the sirens going off for the camera.
