This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

whu??????
I think he's saying Ukraine isn't winning on the field or war of attrition which is a realistic outcome. None of us know.

In the center, Russia wears down the flanks. Ardiivka is the latest about to fall and we don't hear about it much.

I don't know him. Trolling is one thing. An opinion is another. No one on this board really knows how his ends.

It would be interesting to hear your opinions beyond getting triggered. I actually know Ukrainian soldiers and families. Been to Ukraine many times. I wish I knew this would be a Ukraine victory and my friends survive.

I do not believe you when you say you don't know Mike Flynn.

Russians or Russia? If Russia was fighting the US in a conventional battle, this would have been over weeks after it was started. Russia would know this. The average Russian might not.
A couple squadrons of 5th generation fighters would control the skies. A well supplied US division or 2 would devastate Russia.

Several European nations are stepping up as the cult derails US aid. Kudos to them.
US was right there at the beginning to give Ukraine everything they needed. Euro MIC is getting back into gear with big orders to keep Ukraine supplied until the GOP is ousted from power and the US can get supplies rolling again.

3% of of EU's gdp = 50% of Russia's, and Russia's gdp is going to start to spiral as Ukraine goes after their oil and gas exports.

Don't look now, but the Biden admin is going after America's gas exports.

Sorry, Europe.

Global warming warriors in the White House plan to announce a new strategy later today: freeze new export permits for liquified natural gas (LNG) until the Department of Energy (DoE) can figure out climate impacts.

In a statement released on the White House briefing website, President Biden said early Friday:

My Administration is announcing today a temporary pause on pending decisions of Liquefied Natural Gas exports – with the exception of unanticipated and immediate national security emergencies.
During this period, we will take a hard look at the impacts of LNG exports on energy costs, America's energy security, and our environment. This pause on new LNG approvals sees the climate crisis for what it is: the existential threat of our time.
According to The New York Times, ahead of the decision, the Biden team met with Alex Haraus, a 25-year-old Colorado social media influencer who has led a social media campaign against LNG projects in the Gulf.
As a reminder,2023 saw U.S. seaborne crude exports averaged 4 million b/d, an all-time high and up 19% year on year.

"In volumetric terms, the story has been all about Europe this year," Reid I'Anson, senior commodity analyst at Kpler, told FreightWaves.

“Europe continues to grow increasingly reliant on U.S. energy — not just LNG [liquefied natural gas] but across the board.”
Bloomberg warned:
"The pause is set to at least temporarily stall projects in development, including Commonwealth LNG, Energy Transfer LP, and Venture Global LNG Inc. facilities planned in Louisiana."
Biden also noted, "We will not cede to special interests."

Nearly three dozen oil and gas groups warned in a letter Wednesday to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm
that Biden's move is a "major mistake"

Excellent,.. let them police their own neighborhood for awhile.
You’re pretty old as I recall, but I assume they taught about WW1 and WW2 when you were growing up. Even without the US being involved in combat the war reaches our shores economically. Unchecked aggression against Ukraine will flow into the Baltics, Poland, or the Caucus region. We have a vested interest in giving aid to Ukraine.

Vested has many parts including profits. Are you old enough to remember that same excuse for Vietnam?

Haven't we heard somewhere that Joe hlookas "interest" in Donbas gas and oil? Whispers maybe? Along with his expert son?

Does a dog wag?

Possible reasons the Biden gas decision may not make a difference to Europe?

Three Possible Rationales for Europe’s Not Filling its Gas Supply Gap

Many of the same energy policies that led to Europe’s gas supply deficit after Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine are now being deployed to rationalize a sequel. Three beliefs appear to underlie Europe’s present justification for relying on such large volumes of uncontracted LNG from unknown and insecure sources at unknowable prices:

  1. Over the next few years, European buyers can simply outbid everyone to secure gas molecules.
  2. The war in Ukraine will reach a conclusion “clean” enough to permit a substantial resumption of lower-cost pipeline gas supplies from Russia.
  3. Europe can reduce gas use by 30% in the next seven years under the Fit for 55 and REPowerEU plans while renewables, over the next five to 10 years, help fill in the gas Grand Canyon described above.

I have to say you played your cards better than when you were Nat warrior poet, but you just couldn’t help yourself going too far. Off to the ignore list you go.
Thank you. Sorry anything negative Biden triggers you and not listen to likely the only person on here that has worked in Ukraine. Bye!

Oh, come on, his name is Iowafarmboy! There's no  waaay this could be a russian troll, with a name like Iowafarmboy.

sarcasm, obvs
What is with some of you. First, I am in no way MAGA. 2nd I've done considerable work in Ukraine. What is different is that Dems used to be anti war. Now things have flipped.

I have no idea what makes some of you so unable to have a discourse with those with opposing views. You are like the media which used to be the 4th branch of the Govt philosophically and are now only for selling products.

So you have absolutely no problem for the US to be involved in a war where the President as a sitting VP was involved in a politically sensitive area in another country.

Biden just before the way said, "Ukraine is on its own". Russia in the view of some was baited like Hussein in the Persian Gulf War. We weren't going to defend Ukraine and then the murdered babies came out and proved to be a hoax.

In another discourse, more Republicans in Congress have served in the military at a 3-1 rate over Dems. That might have some influence on why Republicans are more against escalating the war. For the Persian Gulf and Iraq War, WW2 vets were pretty overwhelmingly against US military action.

Who are the trolls around here? This is open discussion and you can't discuss beyond triggered. I have yet to see much real discussion on here other than watching things Russian blowing up.

This is just nonsense.
Dems were against the Vietnam War and the Iraq War. Both of which now were retrospectively correct positions, historically.

Dems were not "against" WWII, and have never been against Russian aggression. You're just making shit up.
