This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

SIAP

too damned funny!

“Tucker: Why did you invade Ukraine?

Putin: Very well, where do I begin?

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Some times he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really. At the age of 12 I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum, it's breathtaking, I suggest you try it. At the age of eighteen, I went off to evil medical school. From there...”

I saw were Putin said that Germany had no choice, they had to invade Poland!
Here is a reminder of one of the reasons he has to make Poland the bad guy. And also a reminder that the Soviets murdered thousands of Polish officer POWs at Katyn forest then tried to blame it on the Nazis. (Which is easy to believe.) Also an attempt to justify his invasion.

He was going through the fact that Poland (like the USSR) moved in with Germany to dissect Czechoslovakia after the Munich conference.

Doesn’t justify anything Hitler did, but Poland didn’t go into WW2 with ‘clean hands’.

Small in numbers, but Russia seems to be pressing Syrian mercenaries into action in Ukraine. This article mentions around 1000. That is not significant in itself. What is significant is that the might Russian Army needs to bring in illiterates from Syria to catch bullets. Their manpower and morale issues must be staggering.

Gonna turn the Russian "army" into a "Tower of Babel" story....

More stories of Russian blocking units who shoot soldiers attempting to pull back or desert from the front lines.
There probably isn’t a way to add these to the daily tally, but it’s shocking how poorly trained and lacking in morale the Russians are. Just meat to their comrades.

Honestly I don’t believe these charts anymore.
Putin still in power. Russian economy not collapsed. US dollar losing leverage as the fiat currency for international trade. Ukraine draining our treasury and increasing our deficit. A protracted stalemate seems like it is in Russias favor.
By giving away old military equipment that was otherwise destined for the scrapyard.

I have skepticism on some of it, but it is part of my morning routine, and it is the information we have. As some have suggested, perhaps the troop count has shifted from kills to kills and casualties, and perhaps the tanks destroyed does not mean they were so destroyed that they could not be recovered and fixed. But I still believe in what they are doing, and you are not accounting for the dollars remaining right here paying our ourselves to drawn down our own stock, and paying own MIC and such. It’s not like $50b was just deposited in Ukraine’s coffers. And even if it was, it is the best bang for our Buck we have ever gotten achieving miltary objectives, or damaging our enemies’.

Wouldn’t we be better served by catching up to Russia in terms of offensive weapons than financing Ukrainian oligarchs?

From November, 2022 (about 1-1/2 years ago, 6-7 months into the invasion)

Well worth a watch at some of the insanely brave reporters inside Russia standing up to the regime and reporting news/casualties outlawed by Putin

Warning: Includes a couple hot lesbians that might trigger the MAGAs here...

Russian tourists landed in North Korea 2 days ago. These are the first tourists to visit NK since Covid, and may signal an important shift in their relationship. It also shows that Russians can’t go to cool places, and have to go to a s*** hole dump like NK. The wealthy can go to Europe and other hot spots, but the average Russian can only dream of that, and are stuck skiing the slopes of Fatty Un’s hermit kingdom.
