This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

The most embarrassing part of this, and the main reason we are in this mess, is that nobody in the media in the United States is really covering it. 10 years ago such outlandish behavior would’ve been a dealbreaker for anybody and been all over the news for weeks. Now? Nothing. The collapse of the American news media is a massive part of what has happened last decade.

Why isn't the export of these to Russia banned?

Would seem to be a fairly simple task to ban export there, and to earmark those going to Ukraine as "connectable" and block any IP addresses/serial #s for those not provided directly to Ukraine and used within 200 miles of that area from connecting...

I'd say we should be sanctioning Musk and his companies (and seizing them, if needed), if he continue to provide this connectivity to a geopolitical adversary...

Corporate media overlords in the bag for Trump due to his tax cuts. It's all about shareholder value, after all.

Because Trump/Musk/GOP/Fox rewriting US foreign policy as we speak so come Jan '25, Russia will be our ally receiving aid packages to fight against Europe & Ukraine.

"Ukrainian drone dropped a grenade on a Russian jeep and blew a large hole in the roof of the vehicle. A Russian comrade came and calmly got into the car. The Ukrainian drone dropped another grenade into the same hole as the first one. Boom. Hope you're okay comrade."

10 years ago this was 3rd party goofball crank level stuff. Then Putin invested heavily in US politics. He invested heavily in Jill Stein and Gary Johnson, and invested in Trump. He mainstreamed chaos and isolationism.
Some of that was just bubbling under the surface ready to boil over, but he recognized and exploited it.
Now the GOP is a death cult.

To the best of their knowledge? So he doesn’t know for sure. I say bull, they know if it's being used and by who and where.
Remember: Musk can disable Starlinks in any particular region or discrete area. He publicly proclaimed doing so to Ukraine to prevent "WW3" happening through Ukraine attacks on Crimea (lol). So where is the proclamation that he will disable any and all Starlinks Russia may have acquired and put to use in occupied Ukrainian territory?

Well duh…

I was going to post exactly this yesterday because it was so obvious. But then I’d get attacked for thinking the situation is complex and difficult to understand the realities.

Russia is the primary beneficiary of increased scrutiny of Musk/SpaceX & Starlinks being used in Ukraine by Ukrainian forces. Isn’t it obvious the Kremlin wants this scrutiny? That they would want to spread these Russia using Starlink rumors?

Russia spent months attempting to jam Starlink satellites. So much so that SpaceX had to dedicate teams, time, & effort to thwart Russian efforts.

Did everyone forget this?
