She's a grifter. Even in a ruby red district people get tired of grifters. Iowa got rid of Steve King and replaced him with a reliably solid Republican who didn't embarrass the district. I also feel like if the Republicans lose the House a lot of the grifters will move on. There isn't much fun in being in the minority. And, eventually reruns get stale. Not in her district.
I disagree a bit...I think her seat is pretty safe. The best thing to get her to flame out fast is to give her more oxygen. I always said censuring her and removing her from committees was a terrible mistake by Pelosi. The more exposure MTG gets the faster she departs Congress.
Zero outrage here.April 10 (Reuters) - Allowing Ukrainian convicts to serve in the military came a step closer on Wednesday as lawmakers approved a first reading of a bill designed to help replenish and rotate troops exhausted after two years of war with Russia. The bill envisages prisoners who join the army becoming eligible for parole. Those convicted of crimes against humanity, sexual violence, murder or crimes against national security would not be allowed to serve, lawmaker Oleksiy Honcharenko said on Telegram.
I'm surprised they didn't just blame the Jews or gays. Russia is stretched too thin, and cannot react to disasters. Even pre war they were hollowed out by corruption and mismanagement. The strain of 2 years of war have exacerbated this.
Her seat is safe, but I think she has no interest in actually doing the work of a legislator. I doubt she takes constituent concerns seriously. When she is not in power, and the grifting dries up as all the other social media / right wing media types keep fighting for air time she'll bail out.I disagree a bit...I think her seat is pretty safe.
The more exposure she gets...the better for the Democrats overall. Make her the face of the Republican party by amplifying her. Make her irrelevant by taking back the house.
Along the lines, the largest single shipment of grain has left Ukraine since the war began. Ukraine and the other nations in the Black Sea have greatly minimized Russian threats to shipping.
I wonder if they do bridges?
