This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Is there any truth to this?
Based on this very informative thread, David Petraous remarks today, the economic stranglehold Russia now faces, and the amazing show of solidarity across the world, I would say that there is truth to this.
The only card pootin has left to play is the big one. The dance now is to avoid nuclear conflagration before he is forced out/killed.

I'm sure we can find plenty on all the politics leading into this. But not worth my time, or relevant here.
You can’t, because there aren’t any. You’ve got nothing, so stfu.

I’m going to like ALL of your non-bullshit posts. Then will you stop?

Kill him within. Only answer at this point. Give 20 million to first General to execute Putin.

I've collected WAY more likes from people all over the spectrum in this thread than you have.
Because I've posted things people want to see. Not your crap.

You seem rather edgy on how "the politics" is against you. That is probably a "you" problem, then.

The "no politics" people are fine with politics, in this thread, so long as it's their politics.

Trump and all other talk, go to another thread. Lets focus on Ukraine and Russia. I don't disagree that politics are a part of this. Lets stay focused on the news/reports
I don’t even mind a few political posts/potshots here or there - to be expected.

It’s those that keep making the same point over and over and over post after post after post that ruin the thread. Joe and Lucious are both egregious offenders.

Again: Start your own thread on the topic where you can defend your position (or lack, thereof)

TIA.
50 people have asked you to take your bullshit elsewhere. Why don’t you? No one has asked me to start new threads except you.

Because it’s all a about Joe and what Joe wants.

I’m out, enjoy shitting on your thread.

I just skipped about 20 pages due to obligations yesterday and trying to get caught up. Feel like I am having to skip most posts today As they are all crap. This has been such a great thread for those of us to stay caught up on what’s going on. I hope it can stay that way.

Anyway. Skipped a bunch here. Ukraine still holding strong? Seen some pictures that are becoming concerning. Russian forces surrendering yet?

It looks both bad and good. Russians are defecting, but others that don't see the causalities of war are still bombarding with rockets/missiles/artillery.

Any truth to what? What did patreaus say? Sorry, but like I said, I skipped about 20 pages to avoid the crap.

Sure seems like it but hard to believe their armed forces are so gutted after all these years of fearing them.

Makes you wonder how our intel didn’t pick up on this.
I remember all of the talk of Saddam’s military leading up to the Gulf War. Top ten(?) in numbers of soldiers worldwide, tanks, blah de blah… Exposed like the proverbial cheap suit.
Russia’s military might resembles Potemkin villages, with THE huge caveat.
Will he open up the nuclear genie?

How would they track his location from a screen shot? Detail this please.

Again, this is just people trying to score political points. If it was something of actual substance, they will be censured. Let me know when that happens.

Shut up dumbass. It's a war thread. You think you're right so it's whatever.

This is kind of how I see it. Russia is in such bad shape that the nuclear threat should be our main concern going forward.

There’s no off-ramp for Putin. He has teams raping and killing civilians. He’s not going to be allowed back into the Western world.

Shelling the shit out of Ukrainian cities is pretty much the only thing Russia has been successful at in this war. Hell, I would even say Ukraine's air defense has been better and I expected that to go down early.

Ukraine has had a fighting spirit that I don't think anyone anticipated and Russia has made massive logistics failures. I really don't see how Russia can truly takeover AND hold Ukraine.

So, much of the same it sounds like. I gotta admit I felt pretty guilty and felt really bad for ukrainians yesterday as I went about my day of basketbal, soccer games dinner with the fam and how their lives have been forever changed and disrupted.

I wouldn’t feel guilty. Unfortunately, war has been a constant part of the human condition. Don’t feel guilty - but do feel grateful you live in America where war has not touched our soil for generations.
