This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

CA bans any instruction in languages other than English (and I don't mean taking Latin, I mean the opportunity to take a math class taught in Spanish)?
Are you sure about that?

The Florida Dept. of Health publishes materials in English, Spanish and Creole.
Is that crazy?
Yes, other states as well, like Arizona, Conn. and Alaska. Some very recent exceptions have been made in California and other states to allow explicitly bilingual "dual immersion" programs and schools. The 2500 student high school down the road from me is about 25% native spanish speaking, but there is no instruction in spanish outside of spanish class.

video of the aftermath. One Alligator-class total loss, two Ropucha-class retreating, both on fire, one significantly.

The US doesn't target civilians. Are there civilian deaths in war? Of course there is, but the US doesn't bomb apartment buildings and hospitals without reason, to my knowledge.

The only way to avoid civilian deaths in war is to end wars, which will be nearly impossible.

However, at least in the last half century-ish, the US doesn't target civilian. You can go down a slippery slope when talking Vietnam, Korea, WWII (an earlier) as to whether we were targeting civilian targets or military/strategic targets that happened to be in/amongst civilians, and that is a fair discussion to have. But at this point, we don't target civilians/non-combatants.

People who do get brought up on charges.

The Doctors Without Borders hospital will open in Kunduz, close to Taliban lines; U.S. has acknowledged it was bombed in error

There’s a reason why they’re just media and not highly educated diplomats, advisors etc. most people I’ve associated with who are in the media, are very in touch with the emotional side and make decisions based on that. Their whole livelihood depends upon appealing to people’s emotions in order to gain clicks or grabbing their attention.

I can understand the urge to intervene, but the best decisions are often the most agonizing.
There are many irrational politicians trying to appeal to emotion who are promoting more aggressive US actions. As I have said many time. Any increase in US involvement needs bi-partisan support, and Republicans voting for stuff, and Republicans standing beside Biden as he signs things into action.

Agreed.
We have an approved treaty for what happens if a NATO country is attacked.
I want Congress to approve the president introducing US forces to hostilities here.

The Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Serhiy Deyneko thanked the Russian propagandist of the Zvezda TV channel Valentin Gvozdev for a detailed story about the Orsk landing ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

Deyneko wrote about this on Facebook.

He called Gvozdov "the best russian propagandouche" and suggested "putting him up for the award."

Wrong thread comrade.
Azerbaijan is making this moving against the Russian supported Armenians.

If you don’t recognize how this is related to the war let me explain that trainload of IFVs and trucks was leaving Sochi, down on the Black Sea, near the Caucasus where Azerbaijan and Armenia are to be found.

Azerbaijan smells the blood in the water.

Propagandouche. God these Ukrainians are next level.

Us? Whom attacked who? The Japanese were going to fight to the death. The bombs probably saved Japanese civilian lives.
Maybe maybe not.
I really can't believe I am arguing against people that are OK with the United States using nuclear weapons on civilians. But here we are.

That is called a straw-man argument. What the US did to save 100,000 American GI’s, possibly 100,000-150,000 Japanese soldiers, and ten of thousands of Other civilians that would have likely died by continued fighting to end the Second World War is in no way relevant to the topic of this thread. No one is saying they are OK with it. Necessary evil, ie it was clearly wrong to vaporize humans, it just isn’t relevant to what is happening TODAY by criminal shithead Russians in UKRAINE.

Knock it off or leave if you can figure out how to stay on topic.

Even still, America could have nuked a smaller town and killed less Japanese civilians.

Robert McNamara said he and General Curtis LeMay could have been charged with war crimes if America lost the war.

I would say the atomic bombs in wwii saved millions of lives. Listening to a lot of podcasts on the Japanese empire has been very enlightening.

the b29 fire bombings of Tokyo killed almost as many as the the two nuclear bombs combined.
