This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Not the cargo. Not the cargo…

Maybe maybe not.
I really can't believe I am arguing against people that are OK with the United States using nuclear weapons on civilians. But here we are.
77 mother effing years ago we dropped two new and unknown weapons on a country that was conscripting 14 year old boys and 70 year old men to fight the invaders to the death, in hopes that we would thus end a World War that directly or indirectly cost over 50 million deaths.
Even at that it was the Russian declaration of war and subsequent invasion that finally caused surrender. Had those things not happened my father would have been sent from Europe along with his company to fight. Estimates of dead GI’s the first 3 months?
100,000 plus.
The Japanese would have invaded on the west coast, but back then the sheer distance and supply chain difficulty made it nearly prohibitive. So they thought up a scheme to start fires over the vast northwest forests with “fire balloons” hoping to cause panic. Pure psychological warfare more than anything to cause fear.
Several fires were started but the government kept knowledge of it from getting out. When it wasn’t reported on by the American press, The Japanese thought the balloons must have failed to ignite and stopped sending them.

Although I’ve put comrade Colorado on ignore, great post.

Having spent nearly my entire career around M1s and Bradleys, and as an FCS 1SG supporting an FA Battalion, I can't possibly describe the frayed nerves I had watching this.

Regarding this...I would be really nervous watching our Distro platoon deliver charges/rounds to the batteries we supported. And they did it incredibly safely. A single charge being dropped or thrown would have literally caused me to assault someone.

I don't know about invading Poland, or laying siege to Lviv. I think Putin is going to need Belarus to save the 35th Combined Arms Army.

Story behind this photo from CNN: This little girl was in a car trying to escape her town and the Russians opened fire, shooting her in the face.

Good news is she’s up walking, but she lost part of her tongue, so she’ll need speech therapy.

Is the screeching at the end the guy who got his brains turned into scrambled eggs?

Yeah, someone wasn't having a good day. Although, I don't think it was whoever was filming. I'm guessing the screaming was the result of losing body parts...or a face (which I've also seen before).

If Belarus enters in the way the Russians want, which is in the west, they’ll be decimated. Ukraine and “volunteers” have had a month to prep those roads and battle fields.
It sounds like even if Belarus comes across and tries to trap the Ukraine west pincer, you think that the Ukraine is anticipating that. I am really hoping Ukraine has the strength to fend off even more forces. (It would nice if Belarus would turn on their Russian occupiers.)

I was wondering if perhaps the TB-2 angle was due to the firing of laser guided artillery with the TB-2 putting the laser on the target(s).
I wondered if it was like explosives placed underneath the hull by frogmen. One other tweet claimed the hit was by a surface to surface missile. I hadn't thought of the drone angle.

I think there is a decent chance a significant portion of Belarusian army would desert to Ukraine.

Even the lightest torpedo is close to 500lbs. The TB2 has a 300lb payload. I doubt a Bayraktar delivered the weapon.

Reports I've seen given the most credibility suggest ballistic missile:

OTR-21 Tochka is a Soviet tactical ballistic missile. Its GRAU designation is 9K79; its NATO reporting name is SS-21 Scarab. It is transported in a 9P129 vehicle and raised prior to launch. It uses an inertial guidance system. The OTR-21 forward deployment to East Germany began in 1981, replacing the earlier Luna-M series of unguided artillery rockets.

They have a cluster bomb warhead for these rockets as well. Best bet is that hit the docks/ships and started secondary fires that took out the Alligator.

Again. Sorry to confuse you all. The United States vs Japan. How many American civilians did Japan kill? How many Japanese civilians did the United States kill.

That should clear it up.
JFC. Do you think the Japanese didn’t bomb US civilians out of the goodness of their hearts?

You really should stop digging.
