The natural gas reserves are primarily in Kharkiv and Poltava. Those would be very difficult to hold.
I read online that Russia claims the mines can distinguish between combatants and civilians.

Just to be clear.
Many conservatives want more support to Uk including a no fly plus the migs our current leadership said no to.
Our energy policy is part of the reason for the increase in prices -It’s from a near braindead leader.
Joe’s”minor incursion” and no troops talk green lighted putin somewhat.
I like that this introduces the word "rich" as a noun, which must be added to HROT's lexicon as an antonym for a "poor".
70% is actually really good for a foreign leader....we have a lot of isolationists in this country.
I think the word "confidence" loaded the question a bit as well.
A simple favorability question probably garners a higher percentage.

Pretty amazing the Russians seem to drive Tanks around in an urban area with no infantry support in sight...
I saw a video where a Ukranian soldier called the Russian infantry cowards. He said they refuse to lead the tanks into battle, and when they follow the armor, they scatter and retreat at the first sound of gunshots. Maybe this is because so many are said to be conscripts.
Good way to get your tanks obliterated in an urban area...
Tanks are supposed to be in the support role in built up areas....not leading the charge.
That and these guys at this point have seen scores of their buddies die bad deaths by now. I watch video of these guys lighting up apartment houses to remind me to not feel sorry for any of them.
Again, that was Plan A. "Remote bargaining chips" are the western lands, which he will NOT be able to hold on to. Was that not understandable?
Plan B isn't to "take control of the whole country", just the areas that give him sea access.

Yeah, on page 150 or so there was a linked article about Russia's abject failure to conduct proper integrated armor/infantry strategy. @SSG T had some good insights on the topic too.
He wants the Black Sea access, bro.
Oil/gas he has plenty of, and those are icing on the cake here.
Again: primary goal is land access to Crimea.

Those Ukrainians sure love their salty language, don't they?
I'd support sanctions long term but.....like I said. Over time it'll be hard for many countries to keep it up if they're dealing with high energy costs for months on end. That and Ukraine won't always be the flavor of the week....it'll recede to the back burner eventually.
Just reality and has nothing to do with Republicans.
