This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

We have been intentionally not reporting Ukraine's losses. I am curious as to how many planes/tanks they started with (It can't be near the numbers that Russia has had). So every loss of there's has had to have been bigger. I do know that they've essentially only had a few aircraft left for any air support. I really really wish we'd provide them with some more offensive armaments. I'm not worried about Russia escalating to nuclear if we give them more weapons, honestly I'm not even worried about them escalating if we come in and provide air support at lest over western Ukraine. The only place I see it being a concern is if we actually strike in Russia. I'm not even certain they'd get that upset if we attacked their troops in Ukraine. I think their redline would be Russia itself.

they had 2,172 tanks to start compared to 9,780 for Russia

Hilarious. Internal ammo explosion launches Russian tank crew to safety😂😂.

Little know fact but the T-72 is actually one of the world’s most successful orbital launch vehicles. The turret makes an excellent reentry capsule.

It’s well-known Russian tank lethality increases 1000% when the turret launches, allowing the gunner a magnificent view of the enemy’s vulnerable top armor.

I was thinking the mobile crematoriums were for the Russian dead but this makes more sense. After regime change they were going to cremate the evidence. F$ck you Russia.
And there it is...

white phosphorus bombs?
Looks like you are probably right - this is US forces using it in Iraq to illuminate an area though of course it is also used as a weapon.

Not, I don't know that they would drop WP from planes. Definitely looks like the plane's missile defense. IIRC, a plane will deploy those and either the heat will draw a missile into them, causing detonation, or away from the jet... or the missile will just fly through them, causing detonation.

Not real familiar how those work though.

Ideology doesn't matter much when you are on Putin's payroll. That was a problem with his two most recent predecessors and I suspect what is driving some of his recent decisions.
Scholz was basically Merkel's right hand man, if you weren't aware.

No idea where the rods are made but most uranium is mined from Kazakhstan. With Canada and Australia also producing quite a bit from what I remember. Pretty sure Colorado has quite a bit, but not sure how active the mining is for it.
Canada has offered to make up any shortage caused by sanctioning Russia and its associates.

Video appears to show Ukrainian soldiers executing Russian soldier captured in an ambush outside Kyiv, New York Times reports

  • Video appears to show Ukrainian soldiers killing captured Russian troops, according to The New York Times.
  • The video was taken about seven miles southwest of Bucha, where hundreds of civilians were killed during Russia's occupation of the city.
  • The video was verified by The Times, however, the outlet decided not to publish it due to its graphic nature.
Video posted on Telegram Monday appears to show Ukrainian soldiers killing captured Russian troops in a village near Kyiv, according to a report from The New York Times.

The video was verified by The Times, however, the outlet decided not to publish it due to its graphic nature. Per The Times it shows a Ukrainian soldier shooting a Russian soldier three times while another man says "he's still alive. Film these marauders. Look, he's still alive. He's gasping."

The video, The Times reported, also shows at least three other Russian soldiers dead near the victim — identified by white armbands commonly worn by Russian troops. One of the soldiers has an obvious head wound and his hands are tied behind his back, according to the report from The Times.

The soldiers are surrounded by equipment and are laying on the road near a BMD-2 — an infantry vehicle used by Russia's airborne units, according to military scholar Rob Lee.

In the video, which was not independently verified by Insider, Ukrainian soldiers are identifiable by their blue armbands and repeat "glory to Ukraine" but their unit is unclear. A Ukrainian news agency said the ambush was the work of the "Georgian Legion" a group of Georgian volunteers that formed in 2014 to fight for Ukraine, according to The Times report.

The video was filmed north of the village of Dmytrivka, about seven miles southwest of Bucha, according to the Times report. Earlier this week, graphic videos emerged of at least 300 civilians killed in Bucha during Russia's occupation of the city. Ukrainian officials say they were attacked as Russian troops were retreating.

Ukrainian forces ambushed Russian troops around March 30, according to the Times report. In a tweet, Ukraine's Defense Ministry said it was "precise work" by Ukrainian troops.

Do even Russians take Putin's athletic antics seriously? I would think his hockey skills would be a joke among anyone who watches the games.
And there are the silly claims of wrestling bears etc. It is as juvenile s the North Korean stuff. (Fearless leader played numerous perfect golf matches, etc.)
Yeah the hockey vids are priceless and consistent with what the judoku describes.

that said, I think I’ve seen that knucklehead author on the elevator at work. I mean really, this is what the paper of record has its staff spending time on?

Yes, can we just speak a bit about this ginormous piece of shit that claims to be a man of God and a church leader for the Russian Orthodox faith?

Is it wrong for me to wish a painful death upon such a waste of flesh and theological hypocrite? How exactly can the rest of the world impart pain and agony on this turd? I hope he burns in hell sooner rather than later. Make no mistake, his alliance with Putin and his army's war crimes make him also personally responsible for the horror being perpetrated in Ukraine. Burn in hell Kirill, and GFY!

I know it’s hard but I hope this was a one off, and they maintain moral high ground.

Shouldn't they have some form of infantry around those tanks?

The war is currently in the “no quarter given” phase…

Looking at it strictly from a military standpoint…this is counterproductive. Ukraine wants Russians to surrender…word about this gets out…they’re much less likely to surrender.

That said…after the atrocities the Russians have committed…it’s understandable.

Do we have any expectation that the Ukrainians will prosecute their own troops for war crimes?

I’m a pretty liberal democrat, but Kinzinger is exactly the type of leader we need in the Oval Office and I would vote for him in a second.
He is what a Republican used to be. It's too bad he isn't running for re-election, but the cult will chase him, and anyone with personal convictions, out of the party.
