This is the trouble with trying to make a 30 member defensive alliance that relies on unanimity into an offensive policy instrument. Then tell Turkey either their military vessels provide protection or to pound sand.
Makes one want to join them! That's an awesome musical score!
I've said this before, but the Turks are being rotten about this. Blame the Russians, but the Turks are not doing all that they can. That makes me think they are working an angle while food insecurity looms. Then tell Turkey either their military vessels provide protection or to pound sand.

But an oversight nearly delayed all maintenance on the guns at the hard-to-reach front lines, Ukrainian officers said. The entire M777 machine is put together on the imperial system used in the U.S., meaning that using a Ukrainian metric wrench on it would be difficult, and would risk damaging the equipment.

They were a pretty critical member during the cold war even with their downside.Turkey has always tried to play on both sides. They should have never been admitted to NATO.
