This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Eastern Ukraine is strongly pro-Russian? Putin has an odd way of reminding it of his love.
Yes it is. The people who live in eastern Ukraine are Russians or identify with Russians and speak Russian. That's why Yanukovych had like 90% support in eastern Ukraine when he was elected and then he got ousted in the coup. It was lliterally 90% for his opponent in western Ukraine. It's like Trump vs Biden on steroids.

Also, in 2019 they passed a law that all government workers weren't allowed to speak Russian, further infuriating half the country that doesn't speak Ukrainian. Zelensky, the president elect at the time, opposed the law but he later had anti-Russian laws of his own.

For perspective, even the most howlin’-MAGA counties in the panhandle of FL didn’t vote over 80% and 90% Trump.

The pre-existing political bifurcation of Ukraine is evident in presidential election maps:

Will they or won't they-sounds like it will be minor if they do at this point.

CNN story about the introduction of HIMARS and M777 systems, with more on the way. It's an in general piece, but worth a read. It gives insight into how the Ukrainians are using them mostly at night, which might be to keep them from being victims of counter fire, but might also be a bit of psychology. I think they want to show the Russians they own the night. There is also good insight about how the Russian army is very dependent on manpower to move and disperse munitions, and the clustering of munitions by the Russians has been a failure. Is that by doctrine, or the inability to move and disperse?
It has been impressive how the Ukrainians are using the new weapons in such a controlled fashion. Hitting command centers, and logistical hubs.

Crimea wanted to be a part of Russia or independent after the coup ousting the pro-Russian president in 2014. Crimea supported the pro-Russian president that was ousted (since they are pro-Russian and mostly Russians live there) and they wanted to be allied with Russia. Basically, eastern Ukraine is strongly pro-Russian and western Ukraine pro-EU and a civil war emerged after the coup.
Sez you.
And you came to this conclusion based on..,

Unlike the numpties in panhandle, they won’t make that mistake twice after what was done to them these last 4 months. Being made canon fodder has a way of changing things.

This is why I want Ukraine to have the ATACMS that can reach Moscow. Russia is getting away with Genocide. Is there ever going to be a time to hold Putin accountable....not until he is dead. There is no way he is going to allow himself to be tried and punished.
If striking Russia forces them to go to extremes and forcing NATO to get in the war, I am for it. I served once, I would do it again.

Love your passion but that’s crazy talk.

There’s a reason NATO/US have been avoiding direct conflict with Russia.

Russia has nukes. Striking Moscow and NATO getting involved kind of ratchets up that possibility.
Beat their ass in every way possible on the field of war.

The rascists are bombing innocents.
What would you say if your family was bombed?
Shut up about nukes.

Who's saying anything about "striking Moscow"?

Erase the forces they have in Ukraine, and erase any site that set off ordnance from within Russian territory. Erase the bridge to Crimea and send all the Russians back to Russia.

Tell that to the administration.

If it wasn’t for Russia’s nukes NATO at the very least declares a no fly zone. Sinks every Russian ship in the Black Sea to open up Ukrainian ports for grain shipments….maybe go all in and provide air support for Ukrainian ground troops.

Why haven’t they? Nukes….

Reality is a bitch sometimes….Ukraine isn’t worth risking Nuclear Armageddon over….that’s been the Administration’s calculation from the start and they’re correct.

Take it up with the administration. I share their opinion on the subject.

So, beat their ass in every way possible on the field of battle. Scramble their ass.
Force the rascists off of the field of battle.
Destroy the bridge across the Smerch strait.
Destroy bridges in Luhansk as the rascists are moving equipment. Twice the price.
Target Sevastopol. Destroy their shit.

So you disagree with the administration’s handling of the situation?
