This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Is this a false narrative?

“What was [Peter] doing?” Putin asked Thursday, according to the Associated Press. “Taking back and reinforcing. That’s what he did. And it looks like it fell on us to take back and reinforce as well.”

Not necessarily. It depends what narrative you are trying to attach to those words. He said that in July right? Again, to them it's a multi-faceted issue primarily revolving around regional influence and the Donbas situation.

Here's why Nato is an important aspect to them.. Russia has deep historical ties to Ukraine and they want Ukraine to be neutral or allies, not adversaries. If Ukraine joins Nato that closes the door on Russia permanently in their view, makes them permanent adversaries and opens the door permanently for US influence. Permanently... The US having permanent influence is unacceptable to them. Ukraine isn't viewed by Russia like the baltics. The Baltics have always hated Russians. The Baltics identify more as European, so does western Ukraine. Eastern Ukraine and Crimea are very Russian and unlike any other former soviet regions.

They view the 2014 coup, which is the real root of this war, as orchestrated by the US but they would be willing to wait and let democracy play out if it werent' for Nato.

Again I think the proper role of Ukraine should be a neutral country and the US should negotiate to that end.. throw in nuclear reduction. The US holds almost all the cards on all sides.

Is is a translation thing when the text reads that the unmanned vehicles, "wandered", into the Sevastopol Harbor?
I bet "ventured" or a similar word was what they were searching for:)

Dude. Stop. Just listen to the man running the show. He said it's a land grab. Are you seriously going to continue to argue with the person doing about his motives that's he's explicitly stated?

You're hilarious. Now you are spreading false narratives. Next you'll tell me Russia is planning to take all the former USSR and eastern Europe on less than 1/20th the military budget of the US and Europe.

This is Ukraine vs Russia. Ukraine should become neutral? US should negotiate? Jeez....
The US is supplying all the money and weapons so the US should decide.. and they are.. just not wisely. They should make a plan, take the initiative behind close doors and then take the credit. It would be over in a few days.

The largest supplier of weapons to Ukraine is Russia.

Negotiate with Putin behind closed doors? My Gawd.

You don't seem to respect the sovereignty of Ukraine.
Honestly I don’t care how they do it.. just do it. This is driven by politics. It should have been avoided altogether.
