Did you know that the toy Lawn Darts caused thousands of injuries and at least 3 deaths and were then banned in the U.S. and Canada
3 deaths and then banned. Boom.
Now I get that there’s no constitutional right to a Lawn Dart. But it’s kinda silly when you think about it.
I’m sure I’ll get some 2A blather on here from the usual suspects but something is fundamentally wrong with our country.
And here I thought this latest shooting happened at a Christian school. Perhaps Jesus is being spread too thin this holiday season and couldn’t cover that school?

Minimal. This child didn't get to the point of murder suicide bc she could get her hands on a gun. The gun obviously helped her carry this out but the root cause is far worse and what needs fixing. I'm all for the parents (or whoever gave her access to the gun) being punished but that's bandaids on a gun shot.

This victim thing twangs at the heart, but for protection from the mob it doesn't sound like a good wager. I authored a distasteful post earlier for the expressed intention to shine the light on the fallacy of sanctity.
Don't tell us prayer, Jesus and God protects us. They obviously don't. You'll may get killed in church praying to them. Or students in Christian Scheels.
Religion works for people wanting to be religious. It doesn't make a difference to those who aren't,
Is that an actual stat or a guess on your part? I'd agree that most gun owners don't kill people, I'm just curious about where you pulled that percentage from.

I can believe that, but considering some people have many guns I don't think that translates into 98% of gun owners are responsible. As I've posted here, my brother died last year. When I was cleaning out his house I opened up his gun safe and found 4 handguns and 5 long guns (rifles). He was a responsible gun owner, but an example that not every gun belongs to a different person.

Yeah, I used to get worked up over this, but it’s clear this country values guns over kids lives….so thoughts and prayers are all we got.
But at least the kids wouldn’t have had to share a bathroom if the shooter was trans. We try to solve the big problems here in this country.

There's not much that can be done to prevent all school shootings and gun violence.
There are 400 million guns in America. That's alot.
I'm all for background checks and common sense solutions.
I mean I would be happy with this, but it’s like when it comes to guns we have to throw our arms up and say “why try?!”
