I can believe that, but considering some people have many guns I don't think that translates into 98% of gun owners are responsible. As I've posted here, my brother died last year. When I was cleaning out his house I opened up his gun safe and found 4 handguns and 5 long guns (rifles). He was a responsible gun owner, but an example that not every gun belongs to a different person.
