Throwing a chair, challenge cube and red carded ...

Ok, I'll write this in crayon for you. Throwing and hitting someone, who doesn't want you to throw something at them is assault. It doesn't matter what it is unless it could cause serious injury or death. Then it would be battery or serious assault/
willful injury.

If the ref called the police and wanted to press charges, their hands would be tied. They would have to arrest him and let the prosecutor decide whether to press the charges.

Well that's not accurate and quite, well, idiotic.

Yes... everyone here understood what you were saying, that doesn't make your statement any less laughable.o_O:confused:

I think it's accepted that Gilman spoke more out of ignorance than out of trying to be nasty. He even apologized afterwards.

Willie, this isn't about cultivating a "bad guy" image. Foley is trying to make Gilman look like something he isn't.

Can you not see the difference?

rossel - my note wasn't referencing Foley's thing. I defended (nay, rationalized) the Gilman thing on FRL. What i was speaking of is the frequency with which HR posters look to much into things. There's no bias. None at all.

at the trials a prominent wrestling coach was ribbing me for the 'love affair with Mark Perry' b/c of all the stuff flo ran on him when he went to HWC. i told him the same thing i tell everyone. 'it's a big story'. and he's an engaging guy.

just like all our content we run - it's because it's a story and because we think it's interesting. it's neither to promote Iowa nor needle Penn State or any other program. we run what we think is interesting.

i promise you we get it from every fan base. We love Iowa, or PSU, or tOSU or whomever it might be. At the same time, we love to besmirch the above teams for some crazy reason. it depends who you ask. One thing all fans agree on, however, is that we don't 'show enough love' to any of them.

this isn't the first time i've posted about this, and i'm sure it won't be the last. sometimes i just gotta vent, i guess.

WEH8, you should stop posting now on this subject, this is the Iowa board and you are sounding like a p#ssy. Wendy, I would understand, but you!

Just stating the facts. People may not like it, I don’t either, but it's the world we live in. I would prefer to let men handle things the way men handle things. Now, you'll have a record for that. I would have loved to see the ref pick those things up and throw them back.

Personally i think the Flo guys look way too much into what is said on HR. Its just a message board. A very active board with a lot of content to cherry pick through, for or against. Act like the professionals you supposedly are and move on from it! Also, dont act like you haven't got a lot of love from the PSU crowd either. Some of us that pay attention know otherwise.

They should not apologize if they're not sorry
I agree with this totally. I am guessing that they really think they got hosed and have no way to do anything about it. So instead of apologizing, they are staying silent on the social media forums. Also, it is possible that they may have already apologized to the official or others in person and are staying off social media. I certainly don't know but when did we become such a country of people who demand other people apologize to other people for things that that don't involve us in the first place?

That includes everything with Gilman also. To Gilman's credit - he handled his situation impeccably. (how is that for a cool word? - I rarely ever get to use it)

Where else does FLO get my insight, banter and of course my pictures of sexy women taking care of them when there alone at night! This one is for you Willie (your wonder women)

I guess I took your comment as somehow supporting Foley's. My mistake.

You've got a tough job, but your efforts and speaking out on this board are appreciated by many here. I like FLO's rankings the best, and you guys put out great articles and documentaries.

I truly, honestly don't get this board as it pertains to Flo sometimes.

i try to be part of the community here and the conversation, but i can't win.

i have to justify everything. it's like you guys want to be vilified. which i get. but own it.

I feel you on that. Some here do like to antagonize and then play the victim later. We can't have it both ways. Keep doing what you are doing, Flo is good for the sport. Although I would love it if you guys could bash TR Foley and make fun of his "takes."

It's the off-season... we don't have anything else to talk about

A question for all of our special guests on this board. Has Nick Lee regressed since Bael got him in the room?

Has Cael apologized for embarrassing his school and being a hypocrite.

Am I the only person who thinks DT and CS should of at least come out with a presser and said they were sorry for their actions that night?

Not sure they need to publicly apologize, but Taylor could have at least congratulated Cox on that instagram message. Again, the irony of how composed Thomas & Brands were, along with how classy Tony acted post match, vs how the "just grateful for the opportunity" duo acted was fascinating.

And props to you for voicing your opinion. Can't be easy to buck that crowd.

It is sad when Cael and Taylor could learn from Downey on how to show some dignity after a tough loss.

Idk , could be possible they were traveling back home from the tournament?

Mmmkay...I was there and not following online so I had to rewatch the match on Flo. Cameras cut away while Cael and DT were throwing a fit. Cut back in as DT was pointing. It looked real bad in person...DT acting like a WWE heel. Went back on their Twitter feed from that night and there was no mention of Cael throwing stuff and/or DT kicking the brick. Just said this:

That was it until the above post two days later accompanied by a 500 word article explaining why they lost said shit <didn't agree with the calls...duh>.

To recap, best known active U.S. college coach who is normally comatose in the corner and his Eddie Haskell Wally Cleaver wannabe wrestler throw a fit. No big deal...it happens, even to the best of us to include the f** laden choir boys in State College. Let's be real though...in Flo's world, it is a huge deal yet nary a word about Cael getting bounced until they could write a whole article explaining for Cael and DT....which btw, some of their gripes were legit although I wonder how you can write an article with a section that says "Why Cael Was Furious" with no actual quotes from...Cael.
