Among other things yes. I’m guessing my landscaper’s employees are not all here legally. and they do a ton of lawns in my neighborhood. I got my roof redone this year, most of the guys did not speak English. Same when I had my brick tuck pointed and house painted.

Then you have the people who work on the chicken farms, who harvest vegetables in California, who clean dishes at the local restaurants, who work at the auto body shop, etc.

I’m all for better border security and for kicking out violent criminals. But if Trump was to successfully do what he wants, kicking out productive illegals working here, it will cause a massive labor shortage. That in turn will cause prices to rise.

This is why I think the Dems should not try to obstruct Trump’s plans. Let him do what he wants.

• If he succeeds without negative consequences, then great! America wins.
• If he fails to implement because of incompetence (highly likely) then great, America learns that Trump and team are f*ckups who can’t govern their way out of a paper bag. America wins.
• If he does partially implement with the negative consequences I expect then we will have a rough few years, but again America learns that Trump is a snake oil salesman promising things he didn’t deliver. While this sucks, at least we excise MAGA bullshit from our politics. America learns a tough lesson, but it is still a win in the end.

The worst case would be the Dems find ways to block him at every turn and he gets to claim that “it wasn’t his fault”. Like usual. So I say let him do what he wants! Hell part of me thinks the dem Senators should simply abstain in voting for Gaetz and RFK. Let the GOP dig their own grave for two years. Then hold them accountable in 26 and 28 when the results haven’t panned put like Trump and crew promised.
